Rain came late.
Jul. 19th, 2021 10:06 pmWaiting until late today but we did finally get some rain. Just happened to be under one of those sea breeze showers. I think one just missed us earlier in the day. Watched it on radar and it seemed just about over us but no rain. Rain chance has dropped a lot for tomorrow from yesterday. Still respectable and still decent change of rain for several days to follow. And it looks like temperatures are going to start to be more like temperatures this time of year soon. And the rain chance seems to be going down. Probably starting to build that dome of high pressure that happens often here. It might not rain another day for the rest of the summer if that happens. Glancing at my outside temperature gauge it is about 78°F outside with 100% humidity. Just rained so that is just about always the case. What does the official temperature at the airport have to say. It is 77°F with 89% humidity. Much cooler tonight than it has been the past couple of nights.
So today is July 19th. July is long since half over. The full moon is just a few days away and soon August will be here. Did do some work in the shop today. Finished turning the stand for the emergency light. I think I will stop after this one. Was the humidity as always that drove me back in side.
For viewing pleasure today I watched more of Lucifer. That series has to be just about over. Can't be too many more episodes left. Mixed the usual variety of YouTube videos too.
Just heard a song that reminded me of my firework shows. I used it to start one show. Nice slow part at the beginning to allow time to get out of the middle of the show. The computer is in the middle. Don't want to be there much longer after starting the fireworks program. Slow part is 31 seconds. Plenty of time to get back and actually watch the show.
No bills paid today. No lap cat and I told myself I would remember the incense I burned this morning but I don't. Took a nap today. Got my HEB Delivery. Kind of breaks up my schedule. Odd. Two things they said I didn't get were both in my delivered order. One said was substituted and another deleted but both of them were per my original order. It has happened before. Pretty much got everything else that I ordered. Still have my water on my front porch. Need to bring that in tonight. Several just rare items that I don't order just a lot. Brought the price up. Not as much as I thought. Won't make it as long on this order as I did on the last one.
For housework today just did my kitchen duty. And continued my slow cleaning process in the bathroom. probably be doing that for awhile.
For project work drilled the holes for my clock. Thought a bit more about how to wire the lights. Worked on my emergency light. Mostly wood working on that.
For wood working I have mostly already covered that.
Gold dipped back into $1700 an ounce but recovered back to $1800 an ounce. Crude kind of crashed today. Feel back hard. Back to where it was a good bit ago.
Got two items in from eBay today. Got my buck stepdown DC regulators and my Bluetooth transmitter/receiver. Didn't order anything else. Slowly dwindling down my outstanding items. Only one company now. eBay. I count five. Doesn't look like anything tomorrow. Possibly Wednesday.
Car is out. Meant to put it on charge but didn't. As usual the shop needs to sorted. Afterwards put the car up.
The lawn company came today. Mowed. Never takes them long.
No tree trimmer. Or landscaper. Beginning to think it is never going to happen. No more word on the car either.
Watched the replay of SpaceX's super heavy booster static test fire. Impressive.
Got to set my alarm. The New Sheppard will launch at 8:00 am our time. Do want to watch that. First crewed launch of that.
Got some root beer in my HEB delivery order. Been a long time.
Tired tonight. Depression was Okay today. Still the dreams though. Weird and unwanted. Kind of semi-awake and can't really shake them.
Should go sort out the shop. Don't think I am going to go out for a drive.
Car is put up. Both cats inside.
Nice to see more in my refrigerator. Was pretty empty.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
