Wasn't our day to get rain.
Jul. 20th, 2021 10:03 pmGot some clouds but I don't think we got any rain out of them. None that I recall seeing. And today initially had a really high chance of rain but it just didn't happen the way it was initially forecast. That is the weather. Looking forward a bit to see what the forecast predicts is instore for us. Tomorrow has a good chance of rain followed by Thursday witch still has a decent chance of rain but not as high as tomorrow. And soon it looks like temperatures are going to be back to about normal for this time of year. It actually felt pretty good in the shop today but I didn't have a lot of outside work ready. Just a bit of drilling holes mostly. Not showing an outside temperature for some reason tonight. Just have to go with the official temperature at the airport. There it is 82°F with 75% humidity. Have to find out what is the matter with my gauge.
Got a package in today but don't have any idea what it could be. Haven't opened it yet and nothing else shows to have been delivered. Tomorrow I will open it. Might get a couple of items in tomorrow. Slowly running out of things that I have ordered. Might actually get to the rare point again that I am not expecting anything. Didn't order anything today.
Was a pretty solid work day. Don't know where the time goes when I do days like today.
For housework I did a load of whites, my kitchen duty, some more bathroom cleaning and organizing and vacuumed part of the living/dining room. Some things I put on my list to be absolutely done before I go to bed. That was most of it. Moved my inverter generator to a new home too. At least more out of the way.
Wood working was minimal and was just drilling some holes in projects. Not much.
For projects I rebuilt three of my power distribution centers to have multiple battery input ports. I also built the port for the emergency under counter lighting in the kitchen. Populated my 12 volt lights with LED's and did a bit more work on my emergency light stand. All this doesn't sound like a lot but it took up all of my day.
Today's incense burn was Dragon's Blood. Made a point of remembering that.
No lap cat. Hasn't been one in a while. No bills paid today.
Gold is in $1800 an ounce territory. Crude fought back today and regained a little ground. Now has a good ways to go before it can set another 52 week high.
Watched the replay of the New Sheppard launch. Forgot to set my alarm. Worked perfectly. First launch with a crew. Sounded like they enjoyed it.
Strangeness on my Wi-Fi today. My old system just disappeared. Thought something was terrible wrong until I notices one of the available networks matched the one on my Modem. Signed in with the password and everything back to normal. Don't know why the old one just disappeared. I was told when the system was put in my old one was good and I didn't have to reset anything. But I guess it had an expiration date. Figured it out. A little miffed about it but glad it is working. No one told me.
Watched more of Lucifer. This has got to be about the last or next to last episode. Have a good bit of back log already set once that series ends. Added the usual Youtube videos to complete my viewing pleasure. I have a Netflix movie I need to watch at some point.
Felt halfway decent today after kind of a rough start this morning. Just something triggered my depression. Worked through it. Mornings really always seem to be rough. Most mornings I wake up depressed.
The car is out on charge. Not much to put up in the shop.
No word on my car or from the landscaper or tree trimmer. Have a pretty good back log of services I am waiting on.
Missed a call in the shower. Junk call. Think that was the only one. Forgot to mention I got a bunch yesterday.
Had some ice cream for desert. No root beer yet.
Probably start another HEB delivery order soon. Need to put my bread in the freeze. Got a large loaf this time. Don't want to waste it.
Might go for a short drive tonight. Kind of feel like it. I think probably 90% of the mileage on my car is just going out for drives. Probably won't do this with my new car. This one is leased.
Feel like I got a few things done. Still never quite manage to do all the things I want to do. Got to relax some during the day. Want to keep busy. This is retirement. Do what I want. The things that make me happy.
I need to finish learning TinkerCAD. Really want to know how to round over edges and do absolute positioning by specifying it. Don't know if it has alignment tools like Visio. I am so glad I have a copy of that. Has proven to be very useful. An old copy but I think the newer one are worse. Just seem to be changes for the sake of change. Maybe some new features. The version I have seems to work well.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
