Got another popup rain shower today.
Jun. 16th, 2021 10:55 pmSo now two days in a row we have gotten at least some rain due to just I guess sea breeze showers. I don't think today's shower was as much as yesterday's but still nice to get rain. Some summers I never have to water the lawn. If we keep getting these timely even if they are small I can cut down on my watering. Next decent looking rain chance is on Monday of next week and a few days after that. Don't know what the thing brewing in the gulf is going to bring us but it looks like since we are under a high pressure down it will probably not do anything to us. But New Orleans is forecast to get a lot of rain. Nothing much in the forecast except continuing heat. At least the thundershowers tend to cool things off. My outside temperature gauge is showing about 76°F with 99% humidity. Comparing that to the official temperature at the airport which is 77°F with 91% humidity.
Got my physical done today and got a pneumonia vaccination. Shoulder is pretty sore. Somewhat worse than the Pfizer vaccination. Don't think I need to get a yearly one though like the flu vaccination. Always hate the unpleasant parts of getting a physical. Tomorrow I am getting my eye checkup. Still have lab work to get done but I think I am going to postpone that until next week. Don't need an appointment for that.
Didn't get anything in from eBay today and no orders either. I did get my extension cord in from Overstocked. So one less item outstanding. Still have my inverter generator from Walmart to make it plus five outstanding items from eBay and one other. Coming out of China so going to take a while.
Tomorrow is the launch of the Falcon 9 but I am going to miss it because it is scheduled at the same time and my eye appointment.
For project work today I tried out a new operating system for my Raspberry Pi. Will emulate windows XP so kind of interesting. Will do Python too. That was a concern but it does that fine.
for housework I cleaned the kitchen and ran the dishwasher. Haven't put them up yet. I am doing a load of whites with bleach. Didn't say anything about using detergent with it. So don't know if I was suppose to or the bleach itself was enough. My socks and whites were really turning gray. Don't really know if that will make a big difference or not. Hopefully it doesn't destroy everything. I almost never use bleach. Probably hard to come by now anyway.
Didn't do any woodworking. Didn't even get anything out. Took a nap today but never really seem to fall asleep though. Kind of tired tonight and fighting off a mild depression. Twas ever thus.
Started an HEB delivery order tonight.
The car needs to be put up. Kind of tired tonight so I don't think I will go out for a drive. The Chevrolet people say they have a Bolt SUV in stock but they don't. Got to pick up prescriptions tomorrow.
The lawn company came early this morning and mowed. Still nothing from my landscaping company about fixing my lawn.
The gas in my Z had gone bad. The fuel pump isn't working. Had to order from an outside company as Chevrolet doesn't make them any more. Got to get it inspected and the oil change. The inspection has been out quite a while. Need to get that done before August. Thinking I am going to get the air conditioner fixed too.
Gold took a bit of a hit. Almost fell all the way into $1700 an ounce today. Crude didn't set a new 52 week high today but is holding its own. Back down somewhat.
No bills paid today. Invited Twist into my lap today. Give him some attention.
Did burn any incense today.
Mailed back my Netflix movie last night.
Viewing pleasure for today was more of my latest NetFlix series and YouTube videos.

Probably have enough recycles to put out my bin this Friday.
Unboxed my 3D printer. Still need to put it together and set it up. Probably 98% preassembled. Just a few things to put together.
Renewed my AARP membership for three years. Kind of paid a bill then tonight. Don't have to bother with it now for awhile.
Got a few junk calls today and one annoying call. Been just telling them to put me on their do not call list. Don't know if it does any good.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
