So nice today. And no rain in the mix.
May. 13th, 2021 10:26 pmToday was another very nice day. Not really noticeably warmer than yesterday but was forecast to be. And no rain to show at all for today. Next chance of rain will be this Sunday and strangely just about every day next week shows to have a potential for thundershowers. Could use the rain. Not really much change in temperature. Looks like they are going to stay moderate enough for a while longer. Don't know about the humidity and that really makes a difference. Right now my outside temperature gauge show it to be 73°F with 59% humidity. Not at all a bad night. Mosquitos are out and in my shop too. Don't know when they are going to start spraying for them again. I had that service last year but haven't heard anything about it this year. Got to check the official temperature at the airport and it is 74°F with 66% humidity. Was partly cloudy today but less windy than the past few days. Going to have more wind next week too.
Nothing was delivered today and didn't order anything either. Doesn't look like anything coming in for the rest of the week. So will have outstanding items from three sources. Want to get my router bit in from Rockler. Need that to move forward on my chair project. Excited about getting my laser projector but still have a good long wait on that.
Gas prices took a big jump. Not sure why. The pipeline shutdown didn't impact this area since this is where their gasoline comes from. I saw one station at $2.99 and another at $2.75. Both big jumps and seem to be unnecessary. Will check again tonight to see if anything has changed since the pipeline has restarted. Nice to have an electric for problem like this. Don't worry about my fuel supply and if worse came to worst I could use my solar system. Not much at only 600 watts but it is something. Would get me a few miles a day.
Gold made it back into the second quarter of $1800 an ounce for a while but has since dropped back into the lower quarter. Crude fell back a good bit today. I guess related to the pipeline shutdown. Let's see if the gas prices back off tonight. Just doesn't make sense for them to go up here.
Paid a bill today. My electric bill. Paperless now.
No lap cat today. Got one junk call.
Got paid yesterday. Forgot to mention that. Also the IRS cash my check. So they giveth and taketh away. But they paid more than they took.
My HEB delivery order is schedule for tomorrow. Need to do one last check to see if I need or want something. I do think I want to get some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I have had one in over a year.
Tonight is Thursday night meaning I need to check to see if this is going to be a premium channel free preview weekend. Have to wait until after midnight.
Got a movie in from NetFlix. Probably been close to a year since I got one.
Viewing pleasure was just YouTube Videos.
Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Out of bread but I have some on order with my HEB delivery order and I should get that in before lunch. So I am covered.
Next launch is still on the 15th. And an Electron launch has joined the lineup on the 15th in addition to the Falcon 9. Then on the 17th there is going to be an Atlas launch.
For housework today I did a load of whites. Should have put up the dishes but didn't.
Much better mental health tonight. The way it goes some days are good and some are bad. Kind of tough sometimes to deal with life and the circumstance we find ourselves.
Nothing in the way of project work today.
Slept unusually late this morning. Sometimes I do that. Don't mean to. Try to get up about the same time every day.
Made some progress on my woodworking. Never do seem to accomplish what I think I can. I managed to get all but one spoke turned and actually fitted one to the rim pieces. Cut the slots in the rim piece and put in the splines. Also got a bit more done on the radio base. Just all of this takes time.
Thinking about getting a 3D printed. They aren't all that expensive at all. Easily get a good one for what I spend on coins and gold.
Got the shop sorted but haven't put up the car yet. Thinking I want to take a short drive and see what the gas prices are.
Still waiting on another podcast from Ashley.
Almost midnight so if I remember I will check for a premium channel free preview weekend.
