Sever nice day. Rain free too.
May. 14th, 2021 10:02 pmNothing close to rain today and it was a nice day even though the temperatures were in the 80's. Spend a good part of the day in the shop and it felt fine to be in the shop. The mosquitos are certainly out. All in the shop. I wish my service would come and spray for them. Amazing to have so many mosquitos with so little rain but they are finding a way. Swatted a few of them. Right now my outside temperature gauge says it is about 73°F with 65% humidity. The Sugar Land official temperature at the airport says it is 71°F with 70% humidity. The forecast shows an increased chance of thundershowers beginning on Sunday and pretty much lasting the entire week. I do hope we get some rain out of this. Temperatures are going to stay in the 80's so should be decent shop weather.
Early tomorrow morning starting around 5:00 am out time Rocket laps will launch an electron. Thinking I will set my alarm to get up and watch it. Then just about 12 hours later SpaceX has another Falcon 9 StarLink mission schedule to launch. Hopefully both of them will go.
Got one more item in from eBay today. Wasn't really expecting anything but got my 5 volt 7 amp power supply in today. No more eBay orders though. I did order another bit from Rockler though. So now have two router bits outstanding, two more ebay items which won't come in for a while since they are both coming from China and my Laser projector. I still have the high bid on the computer monitor with about two days left in the bidding. Probably won't raise my bid if I am outbid. I think I have decided on my 3D printer. Going to be a learning curve to know how to use it and actually print items. Not sure what I will use it for but maybe when I do have it I can think of things to use it for. I know I want to print radio knobs with it. Face plates. I sure I can think of things for it to do. And print.
Got my order in from HEB delivery. They forgot my ice cream. The one item I really wanted. A lot disappointed. This is really not usual. But I got everything else in. Got to put together another order just so I can get my ice cream.
Checked last night and this is not a premium channel free preview weekend.
Had my cheese sandwich today. Stayed with the tradition. Got a free loaf of whole wheat bread for my sandwich in my HEB Delivery.
For housework today I did a load of whites and go them in the dryer. Not much else. Need to sort, fold and put away my whites and put the dishes up.
Didn't do any project work today. Thought a lot about how to make the radio. Ordered a new router bit that I think will work or at least get closer to reproducing the radio.
Finished all of my spokes and fitted all of the rim piece to get them to fit together without having to force them together. Tomorrow I will glue the rim piece together and later trim the wheel to round. I think I have figured out how to to it on the table saw. Going to take a while on the table saw but I don't think any other way will work.
Paid my electric bill today.
Got one junk call. Probably two but I didn't answer my cell phone. Number was from Michigan. Don't know anyone there. Didn't leave a message.
Didn't get much out today so sorting the shop won't take long. Don't think I am going out for drive tonight. The one station did drop its price from $2.99 to $2.79 to match the station across the street. Pipeline shutdown should not have impacted gasoline supply here. Pipeline has restarted.
Not a bad mental health day. A little depressed about not getting my ice cream. I have certainly had worse.
Fozzy was a short term lap cat. Don't know why he didn't stay longer.
Still have my night light oil lamp going.
Not getting just a lot of mail anymore since just about all of my bills now are paperless. Still get magazined of course. But seems to be a lot more days now that I don't get any mail.
Not going to put out my recycle bin tomorrow. No where near full. Wait until next week. Same for my trash bin. Not anywhere near full enough to put it out.
Mixed in just a bit of Netflix with my YouTube Video for viewing pleasure today.
A little tired tonight.
No podcast from Ashley. Well, maybe she does have one. No date on it but I think it is new. Will listen to see if it is.
