It did look for a while that a pretty good line of storms was heading this way but is
t seems to have broken up and moved way to the north of us. I don't think we got a drop of rain out of it. And I was really looking forward to some nice rain induced sleep. Nothing with an exceptional chance of rain coming up but both Saturday and Sunday do have elevated chances of rain. Tomorrow is going to be near hot. Going to try to avoid turning on the air conditioner though. Was tempted to do that today as it was getting warm in the house but I managed to make it through the day. It was still cool enough outside. I did spend a bit of time outside just relaxing and enjoying the sun and the cool breeze. Was actually a very nice day. My outside temperature gauge says it is a cool 59°F outside and 59% humidity. A much drier night than last night. Officially it is 63°F and 60% humidity.
Today is Thursday which means after midnight tonight I need to check and see if it is a premium channel free preview weekend. Don't really tend to watch TV much anymore so not sure it really matters. I might find something I want to watch. Today's viewing pleasure was just YouTube Videos.
And tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Bread is frozen but the microwave will fix that. Got enough supplies but I am putting some on my HEB delivery order.
Wasn't an eBay delivery day today but I did order something else. I have two brass lamps and the brass polish that I do have doesn't really seem to do anything so I ordered some brass polish. Tracking shows that I might get my piano hinge and my new phone in tomorrow. Haven't checked the mail yet but I don't think I got anything in today. Got lots of stuff I am waiting on.
For housework today I cleaned the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher. Didn't do any vacuum cleaning but I did change out the bags in the vacuum cleaner. It was more than full. Stuffed. I was wondering why there was no vacuum. I didn't think it was that full but couldn't get anything else much in it.
Project work I finished my for fun LED project except for installing an on/off switch and that was more of an afterthought. Didn't originally intend to have one. Did some straightening of my project table too. I did manage to get my radio set up to work. Preamp, Amp, speakers, two different power supplies. But it works. I rearranged my solar system to distribute the income load better. Had a bad connection but got that fixed.
I did start on my dresser. Planed one of the boards I needed. Will edge it tomorrow and cut pieces for the side panels. I think I am going to limit my time to just an hour or so working on it per day.
Don't have enough for the back, drawer bottoms or drawer sides. Tomorrow I can at least partially install by blanket chest hinge.
Fozzy is my lap cat at the moment. Feels warm. Don't have my Aladin lit in my office tonight. Still warm in here.
Going to put out my recycles tomorrow and stuff for the scrap guy. Let's see if he picks it up. This will be at least my third try.
Gold is holding in the same range of $1700 an ounce. Crude fell back a bit more tonight. With the stuck ship I don't really understand why.
Got to sort the shop but don't have much out. Just have to muscle the planer back into its space and I think I will sweep out the shop before I put the car up. Don't really plan to go out for a drive tonight.
Going to listen to more of Ashley's podcast tonight. And try to finish it.
I don't think all of the Star Link Satellites are in orbit yet. Don't see any more Falcon 9 Missions scheduled for that though. Might be kind of scarce for watching launches for a while.
Should work on the HEB Delivery order tonight. Might reprint my taxes tonight. Have to get my payment coupons printed. I make enough money to have to pay quarterlies. Don't really pay a lot in taxes though. Not even close to when I was working.
Did the truck start, run and drive today. If it was the gas cap that was the source of the check engine light it didn't turn off today. Might just take a bit longer. Need to add my last bit of gasoline to the truck. Need to run and drain my new inverter generator too.
Not sure when I am going to install my transfer switch. Got everything I need now to do it.
