A beautiful rain free day.
Mar. 26th, 2021 10:12 pmDays like this are just wonderful. Nice just all the way around. Don't know how many more we have left like this but I certainly wish they all could be. No rain and I don't think there were even any clouds today. Totally sunny and my solar panels were just soaking it up. System should be fully charged with making 600 watts per hour. Don't really have storage capacity for it on days like this. No problem watching TV though. We are looking at possible some early morning showers and then it is going to turn just a little pass warm. Sunday looks like the prime chance for rain. Going to be about 10 degrees cooler on Sunday too. Really want some good listening to rain weather.
I did have my cheese sandwich today. Good as always. I see myself sitting at the bar there between the kitchen and the breakfast room talking to Mom and eating my sandwich. I do miss that. Was something we did just about every Friday when I was going to Junior College. Only had half a day of classes on Friday. Things we won't forget.
Nothing ordered today at least not yet but I did get two items in. I got my phone for the shop and the piano hinge for my blanket chest. haven't installed either one of the. According to tracking I should get my post hole diggers in tomorrow. Maybe one more item but tracking really doesn't show that. Just my guess. Not really tracking my mailbox post. So, don't know when that is going to get here. Slowly gaining more things to do. Want to mount the phone on the wall in the shop and need to install the hinge. That is going to require routing out groves on both the top and the body of the blanket chest. More time to set up than actually do. I am going to try to limit my time wood working to just an hour or so a day. Don't really want to spend all day in the shop like in the past. Want to work on projects to and just relax.
Got my recyclables out tonight along with the items for the scrap guy. So far he hasn't picked them up or just doesn't want them. I think after this one I am just going to add them to my trash bin. But if he doesn't get them tonight I will bring them back up to the porch and probably try one more time.
This is a premium channel free preview weekend. Showtime I think. A lot of channels and looks like a good selection of movies.
I did watch parts of two movies on the free preview weekend and more of the Curse of Oak Island. And added in the usual YouTube videos.
Fozzy just made lap cat. Twist does seem to like my new chair. Curled up in it now. Still haven't tested it for a computer chair. The one I am in is just about perfect for just playing on the computer. But it is just about to fall apart.
Paid my At&T internet and TV bill. Don't think I get anymore paper bills anymore except for the one I get from my lawn company.
Printed out my tax return. Now have until May 17th to file but my quarterly is still due on the 15th. Still have to pay that on time.
Got an email from AT&T about switch to fiber. Haven't called yet. Called but office is closed.
Only did some vacuuming for house work today. Meant to run the dishwasher today but didn't. Out of dishes just about.
Did a good bit of wood working today. Planed the rest of the oak plank, sanded and cut out some pieces from the other piece of the plank. Will continue working on those tomorrow.
For project work I installed a switch on my for fun LED project. And started a new project to make a 12 volt power pack to run my old 300 watt inverter. Might stress test my 4kw battery pack tomorrow and connect it to my 24 volt inverted and test the voltage drop.
Warm in here. Never turned on the air conditioner today.
Gold seems to be stable in the lower range to mid range of $1700 an ounce. Crude moved up just a little today. Doesn't seem to be impacted much by the stuck ship.
Got a new date for a star link mission for Falcon 9. April 7th. I guess they still have a few more satellites to launch.
Got 3 or 4 junk calls today. Not sure. But got at least 3. Even one on my cell phone. Blocked that number.
Still have to put up the car. Got the shop sorted. Feel like I might go for a bit of a drive tonight.
The scrap guy hasn't picked up my scrap items. Don't know if he is going to. Getting late.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
