Totally cloudy all day but no rain.
Feb. 28th, 2021 10:16 pmI don't think the sun peeked through the clouds once today. I was outside a good part of today and I don't remember seeing any. Was a warm day too. Was suppose to reach a high of 81°F and it probably did. Warm in the house but I never turned on the air conditioner. Doesn't really seem to be the place for air conditioning in February. The forecast shows it is going to start raining about 2:00 am Monday morning and rain all day and into the next. Going to drop the highs and the lows quite a bit too. For the next three days and then a warm up. Lows in the 40°F. Not too cold to keep me completely out of the shop but going to have to be in and out. Don't have a major project at the moment but just working on small things like buss bars and such for my Solar system.
It was Sunday and so rare to be an eBay day and it wasn't. Didn't order anything from eBay either. I did order some items from Costco. Resupply on items that I am running low and an item just for fun. Two day delivery so probably means I will get it Wednesday. Looking at tracking I will probably get two items in from eBay, my candle scents and my wire for the Battery stack. Got to make the buss bars for it. Also my copy of Turbo Tax is probably going to be in tomorrow too. Can get a start on my income tax and really probably finish it too. Not that complicated. And since I had earned income this year I can still make a contribution to my 401K to reduce my taxes if I need too. Don't know how much I can contribute though but Turbo tax should tell me. Not going to have earned income next year or a W2 unless I for some unforeseen reason come out of retirement for the fifth time.
For project work today I built a buss bar. Something simple but takes a lot of steps. Can install it now on my solar system. Now I have four panels that get full sunshine now. Two on the lower rack still don't but they will soon. Got to get the new solar charge controller for my new battery pack eventually.
For house work today I did my usual morning dish cleanup and kitchen cleanup and ran the dishwasher and put the dishes up. Also ran a load of T-shirts and such and hung them up in the laundry closet. For major house work I washed the garage door with trisodium phosphate and painted it. I think my arms are going to be sore tomorrow. Need to do some touch up for sure. Didn't know if I was going to have enough paint but I think I have enough left to do the garage door trim boards but I need to wash them too with trisodium phosphate before painting them. Really need to pain the house but I think I will hire that done this summer. Don't really feel like getting on a ladder. Got to find someone that will replace some rotted wood too. Might paint the back of my house and the sides myself. About all on one level and easy to reach.
No wood working today. I did organize the shop a bit. I don't have a major project at the moment. Should work on my light sequencer box and do some more work on my multisided boxed. This week maybe.
Almost saw a launch of the Falcon 9 tonight. Was aborted at t-1:24 I think. They will try again tomorrow. Got to check the time. Don't have it posted yet. Will check again tomorrow.
Gold regained a some ground today. Now trading at about half way into $1700 an ounce. Crude moved up too but still a bit below its 52 week high.
Not a premium channel free preview weekend. I did check. Today's viewing pleasure was multiple YouTube videos.
Got the shop sorted and the car put up but not on charge. Going to have to inspect the garage door tomorrow if it doesn't rain all day and do some touch up with the roller and places with a brush that I couldn't reach with the roller.
Wonder if my lawn company if going to come tomorrow. Lots of leaves down.
Warm in here tonight. My outside temperature gauge says it it 73°F with 91% humidity. Officially 72°F and 94% humidity. At least a heavy dew tonight but suppose to rain. Need to check the radar. Really don't see anything coming this way but the forecast is for rain. Nice to listen to it fall on my sky light.
Keep hoping I can add bread to my HEB delivery order scheduled for Tuesday but not so far. Will keep checking.
Not sure about the Turbo Tax coming in tomorrow after all. What should be coming in tomorrow is my Amazon order which is an antislip mat for my record player. Need to make some cut outs in it but I have a template for that. Shouldn't be too difficult with a sharp Exacto knife.
Tried out my new MaxBrigth burner I bought for one of my old Aladdins. Work fine. I have my oil lamp night light and a candle lit in the kitchen.
Never saw the full moon yesterday. Cloud cover to thick.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
