Just a smidgen of rain today.
Feb. 4th, 2021 10:17 pmWell, have to use the term rain lightly. I happened to go out side this evening and noticed that the car had slight drops of water on it. So I guess it did rain of a sort. Enough I guess to count it as rain. Would never had known if the light wasn't just right when I looked at the car. However, a good chance for rain has materialized for tomorrow about mid morning and lasting for several hours. This rain chance just sort of appeared. Didn't see anything about it prior to today. The next chance of rain otherwise is next Wednesday through Friday. Also looks like it is going to turn really cold on those days too. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold too. Probably too cold for shop work other than brief runs in and out. Going to warm up nicely though for Saturday.
Today was a complete eBay day. I got two items in from eBay and ordered one more. I got my larger sized Dietz lamp and one additional item from eBay. Two down and 1 added. I might get two items from eBay in tomorrow. Tracking looks promising for that. I also got two of my outstanding items from Rockler today. I finally did get the doors for my entertainment center in. I haven't opened them yet. I also got the two bits in I need to finish the drawers for my entertainment center. I think tomorrow is pretty much going to be an off day as far as the shop is concerned due to the cold.
I got two junk calls today and got four yesterday. They just keep coming and mostly the same ones again and again.
I did just a little house work today that I can claim. I changed a bulb to one of my outside lights and changed one in the garage and in the garage door opener. Some minor house work but I can claim it. Tomorrow I am going to put out a load of paper and scrap to see if the mystery scrap guy will pick it up. Probably going to put out all of my kitty litter plastic buckets also. Have had those for years and still have plenty left. Just slowing moving stuff I no longer need.
Nothing really in the way of project work although I did work on my battery cabinet some today. Good cold work in the shop tomorrow. I can go out for a few minutes assemble and come back in while the glue is drying.
Spending just about all of my time doing wood working. Today I worked on the drawer fronts and think I have a good trim detail on them. I put the box blocks in for the upper and lower drawer supports and got the bottom fitted and installed. I think I am going to fill in the screw holes. Don't see any reason I will ever need to take it out. Just about got the top secured too. Will probably finish that tomorrow inside and but the bottom in permanently and fill all the screw holes. Got the doors in but I don't think I will do anything with them tomorrow. Might make tomorrow just a slow day and do some fun project work. I did polish all the wood with steel wool. Just a lot smoother now and shinier.
Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Bread is frozen but I do have enough.
Got to check this time to see if it is a premium channel free preview weekend. Never did check last weekend
Just more YouTube videos for viewing pleasure today. Did stay up and watch the launch of the Falcon 9. Just seems so routine now. They work so hard to make it look so easy. Perfect launch and perfect landing. Just apply, rinse and repeat. Still love to watch them launch. The next launch is now on the 7th. Keeps getting moved back a day or two at a time.
Got to put the car up tonight and check the mail when I do. Got the shop already and sorted just waiting for my car. Charged to 90% so I don't need to put it on charge tonight.
My outside temperature gauge shows about 61°F with 51% humidity. Officially 62°F with 52% humidity. Not a bad agreement at all.
Gold took a hit today dropping below $1800 an ounce. Crude jumped up again today and set another 52 week high.
Got the car put up. Doesn't seem like my it but my lease is going to be up this year. Just seems like I got my car yesterday. Don't really drive all that much and really most of the miles on this car could really be attributed to just joy riding.
Paid my credit card bill today. My highest bill mostly because all the other bills get charged to it.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
