No trace of rain today.
Jan. 27th, 2021 06:24 pmJust about a carbon copy of yesterday. Well, not really, it windy and just a little bit cooler but still a very nice day. Forecast to be a little cooler tomorrow but not cold. A decent chance of rain is showing up in the forecast for Saturday. Temperatures are staying rather on the warm side for winter as far out as the forecast goes. Just really pleasant days and somewhat cold nights. Still looking like a mild winter. That is good for the gas bill. I guess even for bees and wasp. I think it was on Monday something was buzzing around my shop and I finally spotted it and it was a bee. So I open the garage door and it got out only to be replace by a wasp that flew in. I gave up and went inside for awhile and when I came back out it was gone too. I think I still see some mosquitos out too.
Checked the mail and didn't get anything delivered. Well, didn't get any mail at all today. I have days like that. But it was a partial eBay day in that I did order something. Totally for a fun project and it was 36 beer pong ping pong balls. Want them for LED projects. They make great diffusers for LED's especially my color changing LED's. Had more but the cats have chased them off somewhere and I can't find them now. Kind of more than I wanted but they were really cheap so I just got 36.
Did do some housework today. I did a load of whites and have them in my office to fold and put away. Something for tomorrow. Meant to clean up the kitchen and put my dishes in the dishwasher but didn't do that. I did do my truck start, run and drive today. Kind of lost count if this was the right day for it so I just did it anyway.
Got Fozzy in my lap at the moment. He usually comes around this time even night. Will stay pretty much as long as I will let him.
Did do some project work. Connected my color changing LED's to Buck converter to get the voltage right and then to some of my 36 volt Battery pack. Should last an long time.
Did some wood working today. Mostly what I do these days. I put both drawer guides on and both end panels on. Also cut the 45° angles in the skirt boards. Still have to router the decorative edge but want to fit it first. Used a new 45 degree router bit to true up my cuts and it seems to work great. Get really nice fits on my miters. Tomorrow I should finish the last pieces of the drawer guides and maybe get all the work and cut out done on the skirt boards and get them installed. That will be a good day worth of work.
Sorted out the shop early today. Got the car put up too. Need to put it on charge tonight. Didn't finish charging last night.
Only YouTube videos today for viewing pleasure. Need to catch up on my The Curse of Oak Island. They may have already found the treasure by now. Would be interest to see if they ever do find it.
Next launch to watch is scheduled for January 30. Today is January 27. Days. This month is just about over. Seems like it just started yesterday but time does past. Tomorrow is the full moon.
Gold move down a little from the mid point of $1800 an ounce but not much. Crude seems to be holding kind of at its price. Not much movement it seems like. Need to check gas prices again but the car is already put up. Really not that much trouble to get it out but I can check on a night when it is already out.
Only have the oil lamp night light and two candles lit in the kitchen. Thinking I might make candles tomorrow.
Going to put my project aluminum cans out this weekend. That will mark the end of that project. I really don't want to do any more science project. After I finish this piece I think I will take a break from my shop work. After this one I will have completed three project which is more than I usually do in a wood working season. Still have one more project that I want to do but will try to pick it up later. Might ever draw plans for it first. Something I rarely do.
My outside temperature gauge shows it to be about 51°F outside with about 51% humidity. Kind of a dry night. Officially 51°F with 53% humidity. Not a bad match at all.
Still need to find the right hinge for my Blanket chest. I think I am going to make another shelf out of the left over half inch plywood from my entertainment center. Save my three quarter for another project. Won't have much at all left over of the one eighth plywood after I make the back.
No bills paid today. Still waiting on my SNCL W2. should make it the last day of the month like it has in the past.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
