Judging by the wet sidewalks and driveways it looks like we got some more rain over night. don't know how much but it doesn't look like a lot. Need to check my rain gauge. Been having rain but very light. And rain is in the forecast for tomorrow beginning early morning and ending about noon. That does look to be about the end of the rain for this month. More rain chances happening next month. The temperature except for one day are simply amazing. Today in the shop I was getting hot and actually had to turn on one of my fans and I think I will probably have to do that again tomorrow. Even now my outside temperature gauge shows abut 72°F. Official is 71°F so close enough. I show 96% humidity and 49% humidity inside. Such odd weather and so warm. Still we have a lot of winter left to go. Don't think I heard anyone's air conditioner coming on. I think my inside temperature did get close to 80°F. But not for long. Looks like more good shop weather. However, after I finish this project I think I am going to take a break from heavy wood working projects and do maybe some smaller items for my other projects. Nothing like the blanket chest or entertainment center.
Possible projects like the extra shelf for my Nick Knack Case or like a box for my light sequencer. Just a few small things for a short term before moving on the the next big project I have in mind which is an old style desk.
Didn't get anything in today which was not unexpected and didn't order anything either. I should be getting all my drawer wood in tomorrow along with some glue. Kind of running short on that. I think this 16 ounce bottle should hold be for awhile. And it is interior so I can use my acid brushes more than once. Probably get a replacement tool in tomorrow from eBay. That will leave just one outstanding item of eBay waiting to be delivered. Still have my MaxBright Lamp yet to come and three items from Rockler. Just about caught up on all of my orders. My Paypal bill is about the highest bill I have each month.
The Falcon 9 did launch this morning but I missed the live launch by about 15 minutes. So I watched a rerun. Wish I could have seen it go live. Just different watching it live versus a replay. The next launch of the Falcon 9 is on the 27th. Oh, well, now scheduled for the 29th. So just four more days until the January full moon.
Nothing in the way of housework today. I meant to put up the dishes but I didn't do that. Need to do more vacuuming. I have track wood debris all through the house. Got to vacuum all that up.
Did do some project work. I have decided to dismantle my 36 volt system since it is really difficult to find charge controllers or really any components for a 36 volt system. Going to move to another 24 volt system using my battery packs and just consign my 36 volt batteries to fun type projects and use the inverters and battery changer to keep them charged. Converted one of my fun projects to work on 36 volts and a new DC to DC buck regulator down to 12 volt. Have one more like it to go. Have another remote control project that I meant to do today but didn't get to it.
Doesn't seem like I did just a lot of wood working today but it seem to have taken a lot of time. Got one of my drawer supports ready for final assembly and I can start to assemble the other one. Slowing coming together. I might actually finish the case this week. Have to wait on the doors to really finish it and I haven't decided on the hinges yet.
Still have to sort out the shop tonight and it is a mess. So Going to spend a little time out there. Not cold so it won't be bad. Just have to get it done so I can put the car up. Got a little of it done. Still some left to do. Well, now I have a lap cat so it is going to have to wait for awhile
Finished in the shop more or less. At least enough to get the car put up. Not on charge though.
No bills paid today. Viewing pleasure for today was just YouTube videos. This is a premium channel free preview weekend but only about four channels are open. Scanned through yesterday.
Gold is about half way into $1800 an ounce. Crude holding but down a little. Retreated from its recent high.
Got to wait on new tents poles before I can put my tent back up again. Don't know when they will get here and just hope they fit. I measured the old ones and ordered about the closest length I could find. I guess in this case just a little bit shorted will work. Maybe just a little bit longer will too. Ordered aluminum poles. The fiberglass ones just didn't last at all. Had two of them split in two. Don't know specifically why but I don't think the aluminum ones will do that. More expensive than the tent was itself.
No bills paid today. Got my Dietz lit in my office and two candles and my oil lamp night light lit in the kitchen. Really like my Dietz lantern. It is different. I like it because it is unique.
Probably start putting together another HEB delivery order soon. Hopefully make it past next week before releasing it though. Think I have enough on hand to do that.
