Rain this morning.
Jan. 22nd, 2021 08:26 pmDidn't think it was suppose to rain this morning but we did get a rain. Don't know how much as I haven't checked my rain gauge. It did rain hard enough to hear it on my sky light. The rain yesterday was so light I didn't hear it. Just a bit above the normal rain chance for tomorrow but looking more likely on Sunday and Monday. Was a very nice day today although cloudy but still made for great shop weather. Looks like nothing else except for one day or possibly two that is going to be shop weather. Kind of amazing warm weather for January and into February. But I do get to spend a lot of time in my shop. House work kind of get ignored but I still have to keep up with that too. My gauge shows the outside temperature to be about 58°F with essentially 100% humidity. Officially 59°F with with 96% humidity. Was a good day to be in the shop and tomorrow should be good too.
Really odd delivery today. Not really a delivery at all but just kind of a mystery. So first of all day was not an eBay day in either way delivery or order. I got a note that Federal express had delivered a package today and left it at my front door. No package to be found. Delivery on the 22. Actually it was delivered on the 20th. Was a mysterious package that didn't show in delivery at all. Didn't open it. So don't exactly know what. Anyway I did get it.
No housework today. Added more dishes to the pile I need to put in the dishwasher. Did do the truck start, run and drive today. Don't think that counts though.
Did light one of my experimental candles with the new wick. Actually seems to work nice. I do have to trim the wick though as the tip doesn't seem to burn off but just keeps getting longer. I have one burning in the kitchen now.
No project work. Should have orders some MDF with the other wood I ordered and received this morning. With a $35 delivery fee I kind of want to make the most of it.
Did a good bit of wood working today. Still not as much as I had planned but I got part of the dust frame (drawer support) built. Doesn't sound like much but I had to wait between parts as I really needed more clamps. Probably do about the same tomorrow. I did build a jig for my router so I can anchor the back end of the drawer support. I did finish the coffee table. Got it all stained and tomorrow I will put the legs back on it and sigh it off as done.
Fozzy is my lap cat tonight.
Got the shop sorted but the car is still out. I will put that up in a few minutes.
Did the Cheese sandwich tradition today.
Watched more episodes of the Flash for my viewing pleasure. Added in a few YouTube Video too.
Gold price is around the middle of $1800 an ounce. Crude feel back a good bit today. On my drive last night I notice that gas prices were up about 10 cents at the stations that I check.
Forgot about the launch of the Falcon 9 this morning but it was delayed until tomorrow about the same time. Another Falcon 8 scheduled for the 27th.
Today is January 22nd. Days. The full moon for this month is on the 28th. Not that far away.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
