No, no rain today.
Jan. 13th, 2021 10:35 pmPut another day in the dry or no rain column. Wasn't at all a bad day although maybe just a little cold but it really didn't slow me down too much from working in the shop. Next good chances of rain are going to be on next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. All have a higher than normal chance of rain. The forecast shows that the highs for the day are going to be in the 60's and higher until just about right at the end of the forecast. Looks like some good shop weather. The next three maybe four nights are going to be cold but after that it looks like pretty moderate night time temperatures too. Just odd weather to be so temperate for winter. Still have a lot of winter left though so just see if this holds.
Today was an eBay day. Got one item in and a second said it was out for delivery but for some reason didn't make it. To recap what I am waiting on, five items yet to make it from eBay, one item expected from Aladdin, and two items waiting on to come in from Rockler. Probably just get one item in tomorrow. Maybe more on Friday.
Just a little house work today. I scrubbed the shower stall a bit more and went though my cabinet to purge all the expired items. Could say that was house work. Going to try to clean the kitchen tomorrow.
For project work did some trouble shooting on my fun project and discovered that two LED's weren't working so that seems to be the problem. Going to start another hardwired Board. Almost finished a buss bar. Just have to drill holes in it to secure it to the solar station. Was just a prototype but still very usable as a final product. Still have to make one more. Everything fit well. Need to be a bit more liberal and careful on the spacing. Wish my cut off saw had just a touch more capacity.
For wood working today I did more sanding, filling and sanding some more on my coffee table. Just have a little more sanding to do and it should be finished. Got the Danish oil in today so I will test it out on the underside of the coffee table to see what it looks like. Put together the top for the entertainment center too and thought a lot about how I am going to build the supports for the drawers and I think I have it figured out. Going to diminish my oak stash a bit more. I have more than enough to finish the project though. Don't think there will be just a lot left after I do finish. Lasted a long time but I just wish now I had bought more of it. At the time I bought so much I thought I would never use it all but now just about gone. I need some clear pine to finish the drawers. I guess I am just going to have to order that and plane it down to half inch. Also did just a tad on my aluminum solar catcher project. Might do just a bit more on it tomorrow. At least manufacture the bottom holder.
Got two junk calls today. Don't think I have gotten either of these before.
Twist was a lap cat today. He tends to be a lap cat in the evening. Fozzy mostly at night.
Just about finished season 5 of The Flash. Has been my viewing pleasure for quite some time. I think I have one more season to go. After that I think I am going to watch Season 3 of Cobra Kia. Added in a few YouTube videos today also.
Gold is holding about midway in $1800 an ounce. Crude gave up just a little ground today and fell back from its recent high. I guess it like everything else does move up and down.
Car is out at the moment. I have the shop mostly sorted. I think I only have to put up the short step ladder and I can put my car up. Will do that later.
Did the truck start, run and drive today. Tank about three quarters full.
No tent up. Thinking really too cold. Maybe back up next week.
Worked on my HEB Delivery item. Don't know when I will release. So nice to have that service.
Got to get the mail when I go out to put up the car. Outside my gauge says it is about 40°F with 77% humidity. Officially 44°F. Off a little tonight.
Watched the replay of three Starship engine test fires. Very short fires. Next item on the launch list is the 16th. Electron. Fun to watch that one.
Think I will put the car up and get the mail. Went for a short drive. Gas prices are up about 10 cents a gallon. Above $2.00 now. Highest it has been in awhile. Cold outside. Quiet too.

Car not on charge.
Didn't pay any bills today. Got paid today and it went up with a cost of living adjustment.
Got my standby lamp lit in my office. My night light oil lamp and a candle in the kitchen. Didn't light either of my Aladdins. They have a new burner out called MaxBrite. Got one on order to see.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
