A January day with no rain.
Jan. 14th, 2021 10:11 pmNot that January has been a wet month but we are getting a good deal more rain this month. Still looks like Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week are decent chances of rain. And really the temperatures towards the end of the forecast are looking more like spring. Nothing in the way of highs less than 60°F. Going to have good shop weather for some time to come. Just odd weather to be so warm. I am sure Gary would know why. Still looks like we are going to have cold nights for the next three nights and then pretty moderate after that.
Today was a full eBay day. Got two items in and ordered one more. Got a resupply of something I always need and got a spool of solder. Was running a bit short still have plenty left. This supply ought to keep me in solder for some time to come. Ordered a new battery for my camera. Wouldn't keep it settings meaning the internal battery was depleted. So I have two more on the way. Amazing how long those little batteries last. Again from the tracking data hard to say if tomorrow or Saturday will be another eBay day.
Since this is Thursday got to check and see if this is going to be a premium channel free preview weekend. Got a couple in the not to distant past.
Paid my paperless TruGreen and TXU electric bill today. Both electronic now. Just pay them when they come in. Easy just to go from email to payment. Done and over. Don't think I have any more mailed bills outside of the major ones like property tax and insurance. Less paper to file at the end of the year too.
Gold seem to be holding midway at $1800 an ounce. Crude looks like it is still trading near its recent high. I did mention that gas prices have gone up accordingly. The few stations I check are over $2.00 a gallon. Only bought gasoline about twice last year. One was to get gas for my generator and the other one was to fill up the truck so I could drive it to keep it in shape.
For wood working today I think I am finished with the coffee table. Got all the sanding done and just about everything I can think of on it. I just need to sigh and date it. Haven't put the Danish oil on it yet. I hope what I good looks good. Got to test it out in the next couple of days. Also started cutting the pieces for my entertainment center. Got most of the face frame and end frames cut put still have things like the drawer fronts and drawer guides and support yet to cut. I contracted out the doors. Excited to see what they look like. I also cut the last piece I needed for the blanket chest bottom. Need to clean it up a bit before I put in it place.
Just did a fun short project for project work today. Just a short kind of playful item. Used the 12 volt buss on my solar center. Nothing else in the way of project work. Doesn't look like any cold days to come that keep me inside to do project work.
Did a dishwasher load with used dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. Did some more scrubbing on the shower. I do just a little of that everyday. I also cleaned the glass doors a little. Not quite as translucent as before.
No tent up today. Was kind of thinking about putting it up tomorrow but probably won't.
The lawn company came on Monday. Don't think I mentioned that. Don't think the lawn really needed it but I just let them come when they want.
Tried my air fryer with fish tonight. Did a good job. Kind of had fish and chips tonight but I don't think the fish was cod and I didn't have salt and vinegar on it.
Got the shop put up earlier. The car is still out though. When I put the car up I will bring in the mail.
Going to put my trash bin out tomorrow along with my recycle bin. Let the salvage guy take all my aluminum cans.
My outside temperature gauge shows about 52°F. Official 53°F. Close tonight.
Fozzy is my lap cat at the moment. A big cat now.

Starting using my new batch of soap today. Seems fine.

Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Got to thaw out the bread but otherwise I am good.
Tonight's viewing pleasure continued with Episodes of the Flash and more YouTube Videos.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
