January 7th produced no rain.

Unlike the semi-deluge we got yesterday for a short period today was completely dry. Not really too cold either. I did manage to get in the shop and do some sanding on my coffee table though. Didn't really feel cold. I guess it was nice and sun warmed in my shop. Next high chance of rain is this Sunday. Seems high enough to be a solid chance of rain. Nothing else really to much later in the month. Of course it is the weather. Much to early and changeable to say. Going to turn cold for about the next six days or so. Looks like project work time. Right now my outside temperature gauge shows it to be about 42°F. Officially it is 47°F. Not that close tonight. Might freeze or have some frost on the ground the first of next week. Looks like going to get cold overnight. The second half of January is looking really pleasant though. Highs in the 60's. Very livable.

Fozzy is tonight's lap cat. Already taken up residence. Twist was for a little while this morning.

Thinking I got three junk calls today. One didn't have anyone on the other end so I am not certain. All of them I have heard before or some slight variation. Really after I have hung up on them so many times you would think they would take me off their list and not waste a phone call on me but evidently it doesn't work that way.

Today was a good eBay day. Got two things in and ordered two more. So I guess I just stayed even on waiting on orders. Still waiting on my order from Rocklers. Outside of that the only other orders are from eBay. Finally got a tool I needed and can start and finish a project. Ordered some Danish oil that I thought I would at least test out for a different finish on my coffee table. I have never used it before.

Did my truck start, run and drive. Been keeping up with that. Now I just stay in the neighborhood. Drive the truck long enough to get it warmed up.

Got my ceramic lamp lit in my office and it is keeping it toasty warm in here. Two candles and the oil lamp night light lit in the kitchen.

Gold is now trading close to the bottom of $1900 an ounce. Crude moved back just a bit but is still higher than I have seen it in quite a while.

Watched the launch of the Falcon 9 live tonight. Actually forgot about it but just caught it sitting down at the computer. Another just perfect launch and recovery by SpaceX. Always make it look so easy. Still enjoy watching the launch and the sticking the landing of the booster. Next up is another Falcon 9 launching on the 14th.

And today is January 7th. Days.

Did some minor house work today. Did a bit of scrubbing in the shower. Vacuumed the hall. Can't think of anything else. I did get another old project down from the attic as I have decided to scrap it too. Going to put it out for the scrap guy and see if he will pick it up. I don't want to be tempted to restart that project. Just say it was a good idea but just didn't work out and honestly really wasn't practical. Got down an old piece of mostly deteriorated plywood from an old project. Time for it to go too. Slowing cleaning out the old projects.

Maybe not house work but I did finish filing all my papers and got a folder started for my 2020 income tax. Most of the paper is going to recycle. Decided much of it wasn't necessary to keep or was redundant. Income tax documents will trickle in over the next month or so. Did pay an email bill today. My second highest bill that I normally pay.

Didn't get much out in the way of tools today so shouldn't take any time at all to finish sorting the shop and getting the car put up. Seems like most of my driving of my car is now backing it out of the garage and putting it back in the garage.

Lawn company hasn't come this week. Late now so probably they won't come tomorrow.

Since tonight is Thursday night I have to check and see if this is going to be a premium channel free preview weekend. Get those kind of rare now.

Got my HEB delivery order in today. Disappointed in that my fried rice wasn't available but outside of that everything else was good. A little bit later this time than usual but well within the scheduled time. No complaints about that. Just kind of expect them to get here earlier. Got everything sorted and put away. Just remembered my water is still on the porch. I will bring that inside when I go to put up the car.

Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Got a fresh order of bread in today with my HEB Delivery order so I am all set for that.

For project work I just soldered in one more pin on my project board. Not much. But it should count as project work.

Got the shop sorted and the car is put up. Getting cold outside. Brought my case of water into the shop. Not on charge though.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
