A very wet day. Plenty of rain.

At a forecast of 100% rain chance today, yes, we did get rain. Going to go outside and take a look at my rain gauge and see how we did for the day. Total in my rain gauge is about 2 and 3 tenths of an inch meaning we got about another inch of rain today. Nice total for two days. And the last two days of December. And cold and windy outside. The people shooting fireworks are braving kind of miserable weather outside. Think I will stay inside. I decided against doing my sparkler show. Just too cold for me to enjoy it or lighting any sparklers tonight. Just be nice and warm inside and let the more cold hardy revelers have the outside celebration. Twist was in my chair so I am using my other office chair. Both cats are in my office. Might be a bit frightened by all the fireworks going off outside. Maybe feel just a bit more secure. Going to be cold both tomorrow and Saturday but warming up nicely on Sunday. I imagine I won't spend just a lot of time in the shop tomorrow although there are a few things I would like to do out there.

I didn't put a coat of finish on my blanket chest today. Probably try to do that tomorrow since my shop time is going to be limited. I did finish building one of my table legs and did some work on the other. Haven't finish sanding all the joints flush yet. So not quite done. Finally got the tool in that I need to work on the trim. It should be out in my mail box but I haven't checked yet.

Let's see, can't really think of any kind of housework that I did today. Did just a minimal amount of project work. Opened my 35 Watt soldering iron but haven't tried it yet. Checked the spacing on the buss I am building. Kind of tight but it will work. Might do some work on that tomorrow. Drilling holes and tapping. Copper so shouldn't be too hard. Not like tapping steel.

I did finally replace my back door lock today. Took about ten minutes. Don't really understand how it could break or really how it broke but it stopped working. So replaced now and working find. Best of all now I can lock the back door when I am out in my tent. Didn't seem to have the right key to do that before.

Didn't put the tent up. Really too cold just to listen to fireworks tonight. I could get out in my car and do that. Might try tomorrow to do that. The next elevated chance of rain is next Wednesday.

Tomorrow is New Years Day and cheese sandwich day too. Count as celebrating both.

Also got to check to see if this it going to be a Premium Channel Free Preview weekend. Have had two in the past couple of months. Will try to remember before I go to bed.

Not going to work on my HEB order tonight. Have to concentrate on that soon though.

Started my recharge and just about half way though it. Tomorrow I can start on my document sort, shred and file. Don't seem to have quite as much as I have had in years past. Paid a paperless bill today. Nice. Just go to my online bank account. Click and done. Did get my property tax mailed last night. That bill is done.

Today was an eBay day. Got one item in. Should be in my mail box. Don't think I got anything else but will find out when I check my mail. I don't think anyone delivers tomorrow so shouldn't get anything.

After midnight so New Years now in the Central time zone. Sounds like an invasion outside. Stayed out only a few minutes. Too cold and windy. Enjoyed as much of it as I could. Got the car put up. So done with that. Probably have fireworks going off for the next couple of hours.

Tonight's viewing pleasure was more of The Flash. I think I am getting close to the end of season 4. Two more seasons to go. Still have a lot to watch.

Crude isn't trading but up close to its recent high when it stopped. Can't really saw about gold. Looks like it is close to $1900 an ounce. Don't think the markets are going to be open tomorrow.

Forgot to check the mail while I was outside. Think I will wait until tomorrow. Nice and comfortable now and inside where it is warm.

Thinking about getting me a new chair for my computer desk. Can't seem to find just exactly what I want.
