A very nice rain free Christmas Day.
Dec. 25th, 2020 07:36 pmToday was Christmas and it was a very nice day. Warmed up nicely for a sunny day. And this is December. Tomorrow and the next several days look to be even nicer. Just hard to believe we are gong to have such moderate temperatures in December. But it does look like this month has one more rain day in it. Next Wednesday shows a really good chance of rain. And that will be it for the month of December and for the year. New Years Eve looks like it is going to be a bit chilly but warming up to be a nice New Years day. The day after may bring the first rain of January and the first rain of the new year. That day will also be the perihelion. Another astronomically significant day. The full moon will occur on the 29th. My outdoor temperature gauge shows it to be a chilly 45°F. Officially it is 48°F. I still have to sort out the shop to put the car up and the shop is a mess. But I will do that later.
Pretty much goes without saying that today wasn't an eBay day or any other delivery day. Didn't order anything either even though there are a couple of things I have decided that I need. Going to wait until my orders clear up before ordering more. Not much logic behind that. Just really don't want to have that much to wait on. Probably clear most of the orders next week and then I can order a couple of more things. Might get something in tomorrow. At least the tracking indicates that. Hard to really say for sure.
I put the trash bin out tonight. Still have to get the recycle bin out. I think I will pause and do that right now. Just took out my recycle bin to the curb. Can certainly smell the fireworks. I have been hearing them go off for most of the evening. Seems to be quiet out there now. A bit chilly but not really cold. But got that done. All set for in the morning now.
Kevin brought me left overs from their Christmas Dinner. Probably have those tomorrow night. I realized tonight that I forgot to order my vanilla ice cream for my apple pie. Can't forget that next time. Think I will already go ahead and start me a new HEB delivery order just to be sure that this one includes my vanilla ice cream. Okay. Got my vanilla ice cream included. Added the items I always order too.
Got a nice present from Ling. Sees Chocolates. So very good. Need to take it slow on those though because hard to stop if you eat one.
No project work today. Should have done some since I really didn't do all that much in the shop. I did start on the table legs and got most of the pieces cut for one of them and have mostly figured out how to make them. A few spacers and lots of clamps. Seems to work but I will know for sure tomorrow when I actually put some of the pieces together. Just about used up another one of my oak planks. They seem to go pretty quick. I imagine my next project will consume at least one more. Can always order more over the internet these days.
Got to sort out the shop a bit. Didn't take as long as I thought it would but the mess is contained enough to allow me to put the car up. I will do that a bit later.
No gold or crude trading today. Closed.
I did a little housework today. I did some bathroom cleaning. Took care of a few dust bunnies. Picked up all the reading material and put it into paper recycle. Took some moving boxes down and stored them. Moved my file box to the den to get ready to start filing and shredding. Also did a load of whites today put haven't folded and put them up yet. A productive house cleaning day.
Mixed in an episode of The Curse of Oak Island today to join my usual viewing pleasure of The Flash and YouTube episodes.
No lap cat today. Fozzy did jump in my lap today but didn't stay. Just kind of in and out.
Maybe spoke too soon. Fozzy is now in my lap and making himself comfortable. Distracted by twist and jumped down.
Might put the tent up tomorrow. Going to be nice the next several days.

Got the car put up and on charge. Another thing I like about my electric car. The fuel bill is completely hidden. It is somewhere in my electric bill but can't be seen. I just pay it.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
