Finished today with no rain.
Dec. 17th, 2020 10:01 pmMore rain free days this month. Seem like we are getting plenty of them but we are getting some raining days too. A few more than we did in November. The forecast calls for a super good chance of rain in Saturday. Says 90%. Usually means it is going to rain. I will have to check the radar tomorrow and see if I can spot anything coming this way. Going to get cold tonight. Down to 40°F but not as cold as last night which was forecast to get to freezing or close. Don't really know how cold it got though. Right now the temperature is 43°F. Cold enough to be nice and warm inside. Still looks like a fairly moderate month. Nothing really cold. I think I am going to light my Aladdin. I do have a candle lit in the kitchen along with my oil lamp night light. Got my Aladdin lit now. I always liked the light that it puts out.
Today was an eBay day. Got two items in. One for project work and another one of the jade bangles I won at my auction play. Still have two more to come in. Don't really know when because the tracking seems to be kind of ambiguous at the moment. I think they both should be in soon. Doing a quick count I have nine items I am waiting on delivery. I have the part for one of my tools to come in plus I have at least two tools I am expecting for another company. So got just a few more items yet to come it. Going to try to hold off a little bit on my ordering for awhile.
Did just a bit of house work today. I did just a little vacuuming. Not much. Did some project work too. More than I have done in quite a while. Soldered some connectors on some of my battery blocks. And recharged a few of them too. Built part of a ribbon cable I need for another project. A few other things. Now my project table is just as clutter now as it was before I cleaned it up.
Did some wood working too. Got most of the wood cut for my coffee table. Got the clean edge on everything. I thought maybe I could start some assembly today but as usually my head planned more than I could actually accomplish. I do think I can start assembly tomorrow but it has to be fitting with more than my usually fitment so got to be very careful putting it together. Still have to fit the skirt to my blanket chest. Might get part of the bottom in on a temporary basis tomorrow too. Still need to find the right hinge. And top support. Not sure what it is called. I think I might need to plane just a bit more wood to have enough to make the table support. Going to be a puzzle how to build them but hopefully I can come up with something that will work.
The Falcon 9 launch for today was scrubbed. Something about a bad sensor in the second stage. Probably rescheduled for tomorrow but I don't know the time. Should be about the same time. I just have to see if I can catch it. That might be the last watchable launch this month.
Gold moved up closer to $1900 an ounce. Crude is making a good move upwards now. Probably reached another recent high. Not sure why the move up but the last few days have been good for crude.
Not much has changed in the last couple of weeks. Still watching episodes of the Flash and YouTube videos. I did watch some of the Curse of Oak Island and might watch a bit more tonight.
Got the shop all sorted and ready to put my car up. I haven't done that yet. Might make a short drive to see if gas prices have gone up at the few stations that I do check. And then put the car on charge. Running the heater has quite an impact on my battery. Also it tries to keep the batteries warm and that uses power too. Don't really notice that as much.
Still no tent. No incense today. Fozzy hasn't paid me a visit either but Twist did get into my lap today. He for the most part doesn't seem to want to sleep but just wants attention. Fozzy will usually go right to sleep in my lap.
I think I'll go put up the car up and make a short drive to check gas prices. Shouldn't be gone long. Made my short drive and gas prices have gone up a few cents. Still pretty cheap considering what they have been. And it is cold outside. Feels good in my office with the Aladdin lit.
Got to check after midnight to see if this is a premium channel free preview weekend. Last weekend was but only for a single provider.
Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Got everything I need except the bread is rather frozen but the microwave make short work of that.
Tired tonight. Getting closer to the Solstice and Christmas. December is more than half over.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
