December rain free day.
Dec. 7th, 2020 10:18 pmBright and sunny most all day today with the implied reasoning that there was no rain today and there wasn't. Overall a very pleasant day. Going to be even more pleasant for the next few days as day time temperatures moving into the 70's. Should be just great shop weather. And Friday has a high chance of rain maybe continuing into Saturday but after that there may be some more rain next week as the rain chance are above the normal rain chance and temperature are going to be a bit on the cool side but not cold. Going to get cold tonight but outside of that it looks like so far December is going to be a rather moderate month as far as temperature and rain goes. Might try to put up my tent tomorrow since it looks like it will be warm enough at least during the day to spend some time out there.
Today was a decent eBay day. Got two things in and also ordered a couple more. One was project related and the other was something I wanted and enjoy. Got to have it. I find eBay generally has everything. And can ship fast and get it two you. Should at least try to always check eBay before buying. Got a lot of stuff now coming in. Going to be waiting on stuff for awhile but about all the long delivery items are bangles that I won during my brief distraction for fun of bidding on jade bangles. Got a few coming in and a couple that I really want to see up close. Going to be presents for Ashley as time goes on.
Got back on track today and did the truck start, run and drive. Still starts and runs. Still going to keep driving it. I think it was only one of 1500 of that version that were ever made so it is kind of rare. According to Google only 1328 where made and 1998 was the last year they were made so it is even rarer than I though. I knew they didn't make very many of them but I didn't know 1998 was the last year. I only ever say one other SS and that was it. It was a special order. I have kept it forever.
Just turned off my Aladdin. I had it lit in my office to warm it up back here but it was doing a very good job. Maybe just a bit too warm. I've already sorted out my shop tonight so I don't have to pause to do that. Really didn't have much out in the way of tool. Just did a bit of sanding on the top while waiting on tools to get in. Also put two coats of finish on one side of the main case. Might get the third on before going to bed tonight and start on the other three sides tomorrow.
Tonight's viewing pleasure like so many nights in the past has been episodes of The Flash and YouTube Videos. Tomorrow should be another episode of The Curse of Oak Island. Might be a test of the SpaceX Star Ship tomorrow. Don't really know what time but it seems like most of the YouTube channels that are going to be live start early in the morning. I will tune in after my morning routine. I would really like to see it live though. Should be very exciting. The 10th also looks like a major launch day. Could be four rockets.
Finished my HEB delivery order last night and set delivery for Thursday at 2:00. Should have plenty left in my stores of food when it gets here and still have a couple of days to add items if I think of any.
Gold moved into the upper range of $1800 an ounce. Crude fell back today. Not too much though. It doesn't really seem to make much of any big moves. Seems stable but it has gained a good bit in the last few weeks.
No online bills today. No incense. Got only the one junk call today. Fozzy has been a repeat lap cat today. Do enjoy having him in my lap. He seems to like it too. Still have to put up the car. My outside temperature gauge says it is about 45°F outside. Cold. Officially it says 45°F also. Seems like my gauge matches the official temperature more at nights. Humidity is about 90% so probably no fog or dew fall. Don't really know. Just kind of making a guess.
Probably about a half moon tonight. Shouldn't be any clouds tonight so should be nice and bright.
Did do some house work today. Finally hung up all my t-shirts. I think that counts as house work. Need to clean the kitchen. Also did just a bit of of project work. Put together a battery module project as a start. Ordered some eBay items that I need to take the project further.
Lawn company didn't come today. I suspect it will be another two weeks before they mow my lawn again. Don't know with the recent rains and the moderate temperatures it still might be growing some. Doesn't look like it needs it anytime soon though.
Checked gas prices while I was out and no change for the few stations that I check.
Put the car on charge tonight. Running the heater especially when it is so cold really has a detrimental impact on the battery. Actually more so than running the air conditioner. Trying to think ahead to the next car that I want. Not really going to be that long and will be here probably before I know it. So much choice now and of course I will order it with exactly what I want so that will push my decision date up even closer.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
