Not as much rain as yesterday.
Nov. 28th, 2020 10:46 pmToday rained most of the day but I don't think it is raining now. Looking at the radar it is hard to tell if any more rain is coming this way. Right on the edge of the rain. The hourly forecast still show a very high chance of more to come. Last time I checked my rain gauge we had close to three inches of rain since I emptied it last night. Total for the two days might be close or over 8 inches of rain by the time this front finally moves out of here and then it is going to turn really cold on Monday. Possible down to or below freezing. Not much in the way of warmer weather.
Went outside just to do a few things and come back in to write my entry and then finish sorting out the shop to put up the car. Time sort of got away from me because I spent far more time that I thought I did. But the shop is sorted and ready for the car to be put up. I will do that later.
Spent some more time wood working in the shop. Most of it was just fixing the top so the bread board edges would fit proper. Finally got it to fit just about perfect but it took just about all of my time to do that. Just did some sanding on the raised panels after that. Got one panel finished and ready to be installed. Just a light sanding and it will be ready. Will do that tomorrow and My top is ready to be assembled too. Got to do a lot of sanding on it yet for it to be ready for stain. Got a ton of saw dust to clean up from doing my panel raising yesterday. Tomorrow might be a slow day for cutting as most pieces are mostly cut. Still have to trim my top to size.
Did just a bit of housework today. I put the dishes up and that was about it.
No project work today but I might be doing more since the weather is going to turn cold. Probably too cold to be in the shop for long. Might still do a bit of straightening in spurts so I don't have to be in the shop long. Thinking about just using the heater I use to brew beer to warm up the shop. I have done that before. My shop doors aren't insulated and the big gaps around the doors are going to leak heat like a sieve though. Could possibly get more propane through an automated propane exchange. Don't know. Don't think what I got left in my tank would last long. I think my burner does do enough to heat the shop.
Looking at the radar it looks like we are getting rain. I would get up and check but Fozzy is occupying my lap and I don't want to disturb him. No incense today.
This weekend is a free preview weekend but most I have done is kind of scan through the channels a couple of time. Tonight viewing pleasure was more of The Flash, YouTube videos. At least one launch for scheduled for today but it was postponed.
Don't think this was an eBay day but I haven't checked the mail. Did win another Bangle though. Still have a few more outstanding bids. Just mostly for fun.
Tomorrow is LOL Cat. Something I never miss. Always a boost to read it.
Since it was Saturday gold and crude didn't trade. No report on those tonight.
The tent is down so no sounds of the night for awhile probably. Sounds of the rain I am sure.
Car is fully charged or rather charged to just 90% as recommended by the recall. I see where Tesla is doing a recall too.
Got my HEB delivery today although depending on how it is counted 1 and an half hours later or two and half hours late. But it did get here. I am sure it was due to the weather. Probably a number of drivers didn't want to deliver in this kind of weather. I had just about given up and was in a rest period when the door bell rang and my groceries were on the porch. Got that all sorted and put away. I am good for awhile. I was afraid everything would be melted but it was still frozen solid. Got all my frozen food put away. Kind of overdid one item. Didn't know I had already ordered two.
Going to take a break and put the car up.
Still raining out. Forecast shows the rain chance diminishing so the rain might be over soon. No rain tomorrow. Just colder temperatures. Got the car put up after a short drive. Didn't check any gas prices so I don't know what they are doing now.
Forgot to check the mail when I put the car up. Will check tomorrow.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
