Rain and plenty of it.
Nov. 27th, 2020 10:25 pmYes. Talk about rain. We got more today than we have since September in total. Last time I checked and it has rained some more since then we had about 4 and two tenths inched of rain since the front came through. Supposed to get even more rain tonight and tomorrow. Might have to empty the rain gauge before I go to bed because it only measures to five inches. Looking at the radar it looks like there is still a lot more to come. Looks like rain all day tomorrow and ending early Sunday morning. I have my HEB Delivery order tomorrow. Hopefully we might get a break in the rain or I will just get my Renaissance poncho out. Got to to get it from the front porch to my garage. Get everything sorted there. Going to be a bit cool tomorrow too. Still warm in the office even though the outside temperature shows to be about 67°F.
Today was an eBay day. Got two items in and one was for my project work. Also ordered another item for my wood working. Might get some more items in tomorrow from eBay and from outside companies. Have been playing just a bit and bidding on some "jade" bangles for Ashley and tonight I won one. Still have several outstanding bids at the moment so don't know if I will win more. Just kind of a distraction.
Fozzy is insistent of being in my lap. Had to go do something and put him down but he came right back. Seems to like it. Twist doesn't seem to be much of a lap cat lately but he does love to snuggle with me when I sleep or nap.
Going to have to pause maybe in a bit and sort out my shop so I can put the car up.
Turns out this weekend is a premium channel free preview weekend. All of them. Watched some. Tonight's viewing pleasure was more episode of The Flash. More YouTube Videos too.
Today was cheese sandwich day and I maintained the tradition. Got some more cheese on order. Down to just a single slice. Coming in my next HEB delivery. Coming in tomorrow.
Didn't do any project work today. Did a good bit of wood working today. Didn't quite get as far as I planned in my head but that is not problem. I don't have any schedule to meet. Just do what I can and what I want to do. Still got a ton of sanding to do but I have just about all the pieces cut out now. Some rework tomorrow. Need to fix something. Going to take some time to reset everything as it was before to make the fix.
Did do some house work today. I managed to clean up the kitchen and put all the dishes in the dishwasher and run it. Was getting short on everything.
Got to put the car on charge when I put it up tonight.
No bills today but I did get one from the Tax Assessor Collector so I assume that is my property tax bill. My biggest bill to pay. I guess one of the few bills I can't get paperless.
Since Fozzy jumped down on his own I think I am going to take a break, sort out the shop and put the car up.
Got the shop sorted but haven't put up the car yet. Got a ton of sawdust on the floor. Got to clean that up tomorrow. Dust everywhere.
Two launches scheduled for tomorrow. Russian. Don't know if I can watch. Will have to watch the Everyday Astronaut's channel to see if they are carried live there.
Still lots of rain yet to come. Going to take a reading and empty my rain gauge. Just did that. It had 4 and 8 tenths. Close to full. Now to see how much more rain we get tomorrow. Looks like rain all day.
And just like that it is the 27th. Took the tent down yesterday. So no sounds of the night. Add Thunder and the sound of rain. Don't think my tent would have survived this much rain and not be completely soaked.
My lawn company hasn't come in three weeks. After Mondays low temperature they may be done for the rest of the year and into next.
Going to be a full moon on Monday.
Almost forgot the gold and crude report. Gold dropped below $1800 an ounce for the first time in quite a will. Kind of looks like gold might be going down further. Crude looks to be holding steady at its new high. I checked some gas prices on my short drive tonight and it doesn't look like any of them have changed.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
