No luck today with rain.
Oct. 20th, 2020 10:47 pmNot quite the same as yesterday when we got pretty close to 9 tenths of an inch of rain. Today we didn't get any. Seems to be the norm for October. So far really only one day of measurable rain this month. And today was a warm one too. Does look like the next above average chance of rain is going to be on Thursday. So we will see if we get any rain or not. The rest of the month doesn't show any really high chance of rain. Some just above normal. If it does rain on Thursday that might be it for the month. Still have about another weeks worth of warm weather and then it looks like fall might be finally arriving.
I don't think the lawn company came today while I was out. Looks like there are some tall blades of grass still in the yard. Might come tomorrow but I put up my tent anyway. Really enjoy being out there in the cool night fresh air just listening to the sounds of the night. Just really good for my spirits. And for the sounds of the night. At least three dogs barking. At least one gecko chirping. Loud motor cycle. Highway noise. No planes tonight. Air conditioners starting, running, stopping. Some tent flapping. Didn't hear any birds.
Supposed to be an Electron Launch tomorrow. Postponed from today I think. About 4:30 or so our time. Falcon 9 launch on the 22st. More still to come in October. Just like that it is getting late into October. There will be a full moon on Halloween night. Kind of appropriate.
Today was an eBay day. Ordered another item from eBay yesterday so I still have two outstanding items for eBay and one from another company. That should be in here on Saturday I think.
Looks like gold is still trading about $1900 an ounce. Crude had a nice bump today just as it seems a number of the stations that I watch have dropped their prices a few cents. Looks a little like a gas war but I don't really know. Not much change in the platinum coin markets. Really not much available.
Did the truck start and drive today. Down to about three fourths of a tank. Should run that down in plenty of time to keep the gas from getting old.
Still no lap cat tonight. Didn't burn any incense. Have to start doing that again. Got the car on charge tonight. Don't know how I managed to do it but I let the charge on the car get down to about 50%. I guess I wasn't really paying much attention to the charge. I shouldn't do that. Like to keep the car charge just a bit more than that but is doesn't really hurt the battery to let it drop to 50%.
Working on my HEB delivery order. Think I might just start ordering fewer frozen entries and just have more frequent deliveries. Still thinking about what I need. Good on about all of my non perishables.
No housework today or project work today. The temperature was probably moderate enough that I could have done a little work in the shop. Tomorrow is going to be another warm one though. Looks like the following week is finally going to be good for being in the shop.
Started my fresh batch of soap this week. Just my standard soap. I do have a slightly different soap for hand washing. Basically just a minor substitution of peanut oil. Have to be careful about letting it out because of people with allergies.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
