I think it is raining.
Sep. 5th, 2020 10:10 pmYes. Rain today. We were lucky enough to catch the edge of a thundershower and I think it has been raining from some kind of front moving through at the moment. Don't think we got just a lot but I haven't been out to check my rain gauge but I will take any amount that we do get. Next Tuesday and Wednesday still have a nice chance of rain but I will be satisfied if we continue to at least get part of these almost daily thundershowers. They should be adequate but never really can be sure if one is going to come our way. Looking forward to some cooler evening and night time temperatures. Might even have to light one of the Aladdin lamps next week. Don't really want to switch to the heater for just a night or so.
Gold and crude doesn't trade on Saturdays so nothing to report on there. My coin merchant only has the American Eagle platinum coin available tonight. The two that I saw yesterday are not unexpectedly not available tonight. Just can't hesitate if you want to buy one and just have to be there when they come available.
Started and drove the truck again today. Probably going to add fresh gasoline probably next week. Probably only about two gallons. And then run that through to blend with all the old gasoline that is still in it and continue to start and drive it daily. Not really going to put enough miles on it to need an oil change anytime soon.
Still checking to see if I got paid. Well, not today. They don't ever seem to pay on the same day but eventually it will show up.
Vanilla was today's choice for incense. And my trusty strike anywhere matches came in handy. Twist did pay a visit to my lap today but only stayed for a moment. Just enough for a little bit of attention. I don't know if Fozzy will avail himself of my lap tonight. Did some house work. Started to clean up the kitchen and did get a few dishes put away. No junk calls today. Seem to be mostly spared those on weekends. Didn't get any kind of premium channel free preview this weekend. Remembered to check this weekend. But didn't get one.
Today was a eBay day both receiving and buying. Got some project material in and order a bit more plus ordered some replacement supplies. Takes a while so have to be a somewhat proactive to keep from running out.
Got both bins back on the porch and will keep them there for a few days. I did have enough to put out almost a full bin of plastics and metal.
Not much really given as far as dates go for more rocket launches. I check often enough and try to stay informed of them.
Don't really know what it sounds like outside. I thought I heard something like a party going on. But don't hear it anymore. Probably the usual crickets. Always enjoy listening to the rain but at the moment no rain.
Plugged in the car and got it charged back to its limit of 90%. I think I have mentioned that I really enjoy my electric. Nice not to have to worry about oil changes. Really outside of adding windshield wiper fluid and rotating the tires there really isn't much required maintenance. Not having a transmission is wonderful. The power just comes on so smooth with no lag or jumps. And really the transmission should be good for the life of the car. When I get my next electric it is going to be a bit more difficult decision because there are so many more to chose from now.
