The trend of no rain continuing.
Aug. 14th, 2020 10:35 pmI think we are into a dry spell in this area. I think it was two weeks ago that I last got rain. Or was it last week? Don't really seem to remember. Got a decent thundershower but nothing since then. Further north up closer to the panhandle the radar does show some rain. I don't think much in the form of pop up thundershower are happening much. At least they are not forming over me. Monday does show a increased chance of rain but not just by a lot. Thursdays does too. Probably going to be wet again towards the end of the month. It is weather so just have to wait and see.
Now tropical storm Kyle is in the Atlantic. Seems like a very odd place for a storm to form off of the east coast. It is moving away from land and probably just a worry for shipping. Josephine is still out there too but predicted to turn north and miss land completely.
Getting the odd power dip here. Not long enough to cause the computer to go off line or the clocks to reset though. Still a bit worrisome. Other neighbors are experience the same thing.
Made this a typical cheese sandwich Friday. Still using whole grain wheat though. I do like my cheese sandwiches. About as close as I come to actually cooking something.
Still didn't hear any fireworks tonight. I did hear something but can't really be sure if it was fireworks or not. I guess the ball park isn't doing that this year. Outside of that just some very minor chirping and probably the crickets too but I can't really hear them.
The Ariane 5 rocket scheduled to launch today was postponed until tomorrow at about the same time. Problems with the weather according to their site. Then on August 18th another Falcon 9 is scheduled to launch.
Gold seems to have settle down at the least for awhile and it is not continuing its race upwards. Crude doesn't look like it is going anywhere. Might be a very slight trend upwards but hard to tell. Hasn't really moved much at all since July. Still can't find platinum coins for sale.
Today's incense of choice was Dragon's Blood. Don't really know what that is suppose to smell like but it does smell good. And Twist visited my lap today. Stayed for a decent nap too.
Put out my trash bin tonight. Set it out on the porch earlier and went out through the garage to take it out to the curb. Didn't put out my recycle bin. Still room left in it but probably will go out next weekend. I read that the mosquito activity is extreme. Got an automated call that my service is coming Monday to spray for mosquitoes.
I worked on my software for my light sequencer today. Still can't quite get my loops to work. Don't know what is wrong. Don't really have any experience programming in Python so it takes a lot of research. Got lots of time yet so I will at some point figure it out.
Nothing in the way of housework. Not much either in the way of viewing pleasure today. Did watch a little of a PBS program.
Gary text today. Usual. Wasn't an eBay day today. And the junk call of the day was:
We want to buy your home.
Just the one for today. Haven't gotten a political survey in a few days. Kind of odd.
I think that will do it for tonight.
