Again no rain today.
Aug. 5th, 2020 11:03 pmThis was another day without rain. Kind of locked into a bit of a dry spell now. It did look like some areas along the south Texas boarder got some rain. The radar showed some decent looking storms. Nothing looking possible for us until Sunday. That seems to have a decent chance for rain. I do see the heat of the day thunderstorms and we may still get one of those but mostly they have missed us. Temperatures are still looking moderate for a while. Finally did see the moon tonight. I wasn't sure if moon rise had occurred or not. Can tell it is not quite full any more. It was full on August 3rd.
The National Hurricane Center's map only shows one thing. Doesn't look like it is going to land anywhere. It has been so active this year. Really have to keep checking their map.
Looking at the past prices for gold it looks like it is in run away mode. Now about midway past $2000 an ounce on its was to $2100 an ounce. Crude made a move upwards to day and I think it set an new recent high. Pretty sure this time as I don't remember it moving above $42 a barrel. I did notice oddly enough that one of the gas stations I price check had lowered their price by two cents.
Ashley is going to do another pod cast maybe partly on my Grandfather.
Later than usual but Vanilla was the incense choice of the day. And my trusty strike anywhere matches were the dependable source of ignition.
The launch of the next Falcon 9 got moved back a day and is now scheduled for the 7th of August.
No project work today. I had good intentions to work on the software side of the project some but didn't. Now much in the way of viewing pleasure today. I think Nova was on tonight but didn't watch it. No bills today. Think I am all caught up.
Fozzy is the lap cat of the night. He does love to snuggle with me and so does Twist. Bothers but really different.
Not going to have enough recyclables to put out my bin this weekend. Finally did get caught up on that.

Did some really minor landscaping today. Really just moved a few bricks around. I guess that is landscaping. The mosquitoes are out now. Could see one flying around me when I was outside. So much rain. I guess they are going to be thick now. Have to be careful with the front door especially. They do enjoy coming in that way.
Today was both an eBay day and a non eBay day. Something I ordered outside of eBay. Still have some things outstanding on eBay. Household stuff mostly. Nothing project related. Stuff to have on hand.
