A moderately warm day with no rain. Didn't look at the radar during the day so I don't know if other areas got rain or not. Looking at the radar now show storms to the north and north east of us and it looks like something big is building to the west of us. I guess it is going to get here about 1:00 am because that is when the rain chances really increase according to The Weather Channel and it looks like at least based on the rain chance that it is going to rain all night. Only supposed to have a high of 89 °F tomorrow. Maybe that cold front is going to make it through here.

Tropical Storm Isais did make it to hurricane status. Only a few of the spaghetti models predicted that it would and it has slowed down a bit too which might lead to further strengthening. The spaghetti models now show it brushing the coast of Florida and them closely following the east cost of the US upwards. Looks like the Saharan dust cloud is going to move back into the Gulf and give this area a few days of dust free skies. The simulation doesn't go far enough to show if or when we get covered up with Saharan dust again. There are two more potential things out there too. Seems to have gotten really active. One is showing to turn and move north up the Atlantic.

Got my HEB delivery today. A little bit later than usually but still well within the time slot I had chosen so can't really say anything. I got that all sorted and put away. Think I am going to be good for awhile and this time I got myself a little extra treat. Something that I hadn't even thought about getting. Already restocked on the household items so I should be good on those and have ordered some on eBay. Nice that I can get things like air conditioner filters and motor oil from HEB. Pretty much covered on things like that. I make my own soap and have enough components to make I think at least two more batches.

Didn't hear any fireworks tonight. At least I didn't hear any so maybe the ball park isn't doing Friday night fireworks. Took my plastic and metal recyclables out through the garage tonight. Not quite a full bin but by next week it would be over flowing. Don't dare open the front door and let in a horde of mosquitoes. I know they are just waiting for me to do that. I might check the sounds of the night and open the garage door to do that. The crickets are out tonight and I can hear the chirping but it doesn't sound as close as it has been the last few night. There is a big bright moon out tonight also. Suppose to be a full moon on August 3rd so not far away from that.

Not just a whole lot to report on crude and gold tonight. Still about where they were. I ran an errand today and did check my gas prices and there has been no change. Since crude does seem to be stable it kind of follows that gas prices are going to change. It does look like the price of platinum is moving up too.

I had Twist for a lap cat today. Seems Fozzy has been absent for the past couple of nights. Fozzy finally did make a late night appearance.

Did some working on my light Sequencer tonight. I think I am only going to have 8 ques per computer and let one be the master and control the other. I think that will make it much easier to spread out the lights without running additional extension cords. Going to have some programming to do but I think I can just modify the one I used to do my firework shows and make it work.

Did make this a cheese sandwich day. My Friday tradition even if I don't use white bread to make them. Maybe just a bit more health using wheat bread. Still taste good though.

Still waiting for another Houston Museum of Natural Science auction. About time for another one.

No premium channel free preview this weekend either. Been a while since we have had one. Not much in the way of entertainment pleasure today. Did watch a bit of a PBS special on Teddy Roosevelt.

Doesn't look like much on the rocket launch schedule for the next week or so but August still looks like a busy month. And tomorrow is the first day of August.

I am guessing that The Weather Channel has already started 24 hour coverage of the coming hurricane.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
