Good rain today

Yes. The good rain came today. Last check of the rain gauge showed about an inch and 4/10 for today. Not a bad rain at all and it fell in fairly constant rate in between much heavier burst of rain. So everything got a good soaking today. Ground should be about saturated and not need watering for a little while. That is probably going to be a good thing as the next high percentage of rain is on Saturday but after that it looks like it is going to dry out for the next week or so before the rain chance goes up again. Got to check for mushrooms. I suspect they should be coming up soon. And probably along with the mosquitoes too. Didn't feel any last night when I was outside but they are almost certain to be here soon.

That path of potential tropical storm 9 keeps shifting both east and west. Now again it looks like it is going to move up the east coast of the US. Path at one time was much further west and now it is back east. Moving so fast it didn't have time to strengthen but reports are it is slowing down. More models are now showing that it will reach hurricane strength. It does look like we are now under the Saharan Dust Cloud. More on the way. So much dust. I guess the winds over the Saharan an strong.

Gold has kind of settled down. Still really high but staying in a range today. Crude just seems to be stuck. Not moving much up or down at all. Don't really track Platinum much but it has moved up a lot too and is getting back up close to its high for the year. Haven't checked any gas prices lately but if crude price is an indicator I would guess gas prices haven't changed much.

Dismantled a fun project today. Realized I just didn't have enough power to make it work from my solar panels. Might just try it from a battery and see what happens. Don't really have a battery right for it though. Could rewire my panels but don't want to do that just now.

Got to check the sounds of the night soon. Still sounds like the same creatures are out and about. Wish it was cool enough to leave the windows open and listen to the sound. Nice bright moon last night but it is still a few days away from bring full. No incense today and so far no lap cat but I suspect Fozzy will be along later pretty much like he has been every night for the past several nights.

Got the Car fully charged back up to the 90% level. Don't want to let it set fully charged. Don't have that many miles on it but still want to take care of the battery as best I can. It really is a fun car to drive. Just do really enjoy the way the power comes own and how smooth the drive is. Plus no need for an oil change. About the only maintenance to do on the car is to add windshield wiper fluid.

No political phone surveys today. Seem to get plenty of them.

Did catch the tail end of Nova tonight on PBS. A story on the geology of the US. Really PBS is about the only station I watch now. Well, there is Barn Wood Builders but I don't know what network they are on. I do watch "The Wall" but like Barn Wood Builders I don't know the network.

No launches today but an Atlas Five may launch tomorrow but looks like it is going to be to early in the morning for me to watch. Maybe others to follow but so many postponements. Just have to stay aware of the launches and catch them when I can.

Put my trash bin out yesterday. Pretty much a full bin. Will bring it completely in after a few days. Probably going to put a recycle bin out this Friday too. I think it will fill up again if I wait another week.

Probably need to do a load of whites tomorrow.

Did a virtual tour tonight. Kind of fun to do those. Haven't done one in a while.
