Checked outside once and I could see that parts of the concrete were damp but that was about the extent of the rain we got today. The radar showed plenty of rain in the area but it either went around us or rained out before it got to us. So we had a fairly dry day here. A moderate chance of rain tomorrow but the next decent chance of rain is not until Saturday. It does look like the temperature are going to be a least a bit cooler for the next couple of weeks and that will take us into August.

Looks like another Saharan dust cloud is about to cover us up. And going to last for a few more days. Still two big clouds are making their way here too.

Text with Gary about potential tropical cyclone 9. I think Gary mentioned that the name would start with "I" but I don't know what it is. Said they were 150 miles off on the location of the center and that would shift the track more towards the Gulf. His hobby is the weather so going to have to watch this one. The spaghetti models have shifted more to the west. Some bringing the storm through Florida but at the moment they don't show it reaching Hurricane status. But Hanna surprised everyone too and I don't know if it did or not but at least it did get close to a category two hurricane. Where this one is going to have to watch it. Covered by the Saharan dust cloud at the moment so maybe that will keep its strength down some.

Did some project work today. Not much just some work on my light sequencer project. Finally found the wire I needed to use for the project and ordered it. Not the wire gauge I originally wanted but I did the research and found this size will work fine. So I am going to push ahead with the project. Might actually get to test it some time next week. Should be fun to program and see if it works. I will use python. I really did like using basic but it really isn't supported by Raspberry Pi and that is what I will use to control it. I did find some Basic languages but they really aren't well documented. I did most of my writing in Basic. Python is a new language to me. With lots of research I can do some moderate programming in it. Certainly nothing fancy though.

No incense today and so far no lap cat either but Fozzy is my late night lap cat so He still may make it here.

There was supposed to be a static test of the SpaceX Star Liner tonight but the notice seems to have disappeared. Four launches schedule one daily for the next four days. So many postponements so I try not to be too disappointed when one doesn't go. I really enjoy watching them launch.

Got my order ready for HEB Delivery for Friday. So I still have a few days to add item if I decide I want or need them.

Waiting on the next podcast.

Paid a bill tonight. And paid another off just a little early. Got an email notice about one and paid it off. The paper one I am sure will be along soon. Not an eBay day today. Do have a few outstanding item yet to arrive.

Fozzy made it into my lap. Looked comfortable but stayed on a short time and then abruptly got up and left.

Gold is about midway to $2000 an ounce. Down somewhat from its high. Still watching it. Crude is just staying pretty much where it was. Looks like it is only moving a little from day to day.

The moon is bright tonight even though it isn't full. Still crickets tonight, lots of them and the same chirping I have heard for the past several night. I think they are frogs. Could be geckos as there are plenty of those around.

With the rain probably going to have a good crop of mosquitoes too. I do have a service that sprays for them now and don't have to depend on the county. Haven't seen any mushrooms though. Going to keep a watch for them and maybe get a picture if we get any fairy rings.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
