Not a drop of rain today.
Jul. 23rd, 2020 10:55 pmWe didn't get any rain today. Wasn't a very high chance forecasted for today. And it looks like they were right. There is a very high chance of rain tomorrow started after about lunch or so. And looks like it might last for awhile. The rest of the week also has good chances of rain. So I will be reporting rainfall amounts from my now active rain gauge. Total so far is almost an inch. Does look like there might be some light rain a ways off to the east of us. Other areas did get some rain.
The moon is just a small slice tonight hanging in the night sky. Kind of nice to see. Looks peaceful.
A tangent there for a break. Now what in the world is going on in the Gulf. Tropical depression 8 is now Hanna with with just enough wind speed to make it to tropical storm. Looks like the tract is going to take it well to the south of us. That according to the National Hurricane Center's map. Far enough that we aren't even in the cone of uncertainty. The spaghetti models pretty much show the same thing. This should come on shore some time on Saturday but looks to be so far to the south that we might not even get any rain from it. Or just a little. Won't really have to wait too long to find out. Gonzalo is still out there. A few days away but just have to keep watching it.
Didn't do any project work today and wasn't an eBay day either. Did manage to put up the dishes from the dish washer. Along with that I did burn incense today. Both Vanilla and Black Cherry I think. I seem to remember those.
I did get to watch the launch of the Chinese Long March Rocket yesterday sort of. It wasn't any official stream. Looked to be someone just live streaming it from near by. But it was fun to watch. The next Falcon 9 launch is scheduled for July 29.
Gas prices haven't changes since the last time I checked. I do think gold hit another high price today of about $1900 an ounce. Has really gone up a lot lately. I think crude stayed about in it range today. hasn't really moved much at all except to set recent highs which are just a little higher than normal but still has a ways to go.
Nothing in the ways of bills to pay today. And tomorrow is my traditional cheese sandwich day. Fully supplied for that. Always enjoy a cheese sandwich even on whole wheat bread.
Fozzy was a lap cat earlier in the day. Hasn't been around tonight though. He can be a late night lap cat too.
Going to have a very full bin to put out for recycle tomorrow night. Don't really have enough to put out my trash bin but might do that anyway to keep it from getting to heavy.
Got my HEB delivery in today and right on time. Only one substitution and it was a good one. So nice to have service available. Been using it exclusively to get my groceries.
Finally settled in and watch an episode of Barn Wood builders. Thursday night have always kind of been light on viewing pleasure. Got to check after midnight to see if this is possibly a premium channel free preview weekend. It has been a while since we have had one.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
