More rain today.

This was a good day for rain. Looked at my rain gauge and we got just under 3/4 of an inch. So far the last few days we are closing in on about an inch of rain. Still a lot of reasonable chances of rain in the next several days. Tomorrow just doesn't happen to be one of them. About the normal chance for rain so don't really know if we will get rain or not. The panhandle looks clear tonight. They have been getting a lot of storms.

Now got to turn our attention to the Gulf. We now have tropical depression 8 not too far away in the Gulf. The National Hurricane Center predicts it will become a storm probably about Friday and remain a storm until it comes on land which they show to be sometime Saturday and to the south of us. Like I mentioned that puts us on the wet side of the storm and just how much further south is really going to make a difference. We are still in the cone of uncertainty though. The spaghetti models do show it going mostly to the south of us. There is tropical storm Gonzalo out there too. Another one that will have to be watched closely. Way too far out at the moment for the spaghetti models to show anything. Right now they don't agree in the least as to where it might go as it gets closer other than to bring it into the Gulf.

Gold hit a another record high today. Don't talk much about silver but it has really moved up too. Today it hit over $23 an ounce. I think at one time in the long distant past it was higher but that was a special case. Crude may have hit a new recent high. Hard to tell but still staying in a range although it does look like it is slowly moving up.

It was an eBay day and I did get the final part in for my fun project. Did some work on it and basically got it set up but it was too late in the day to see if it would work because it runs off of a solar panel. Don't know how well it can be tested tomorrow because it shows it is going to be a partly cloudy day.

Today was an incense day. If I remember correctly I burned some Black Cherry. And of course my trusty strike any where matches helped.

Found a site that is going to show the launch of the Long March Chinese Rocket here in about 5 minutes or so. The audio hasn't started yet but I do have the site open. Going to be fun to watch this one because it is a really big rocker launching a really heavy payload. Shows to be in about 4 minutes but nothing live yet.

No lap cat yet but Fozzy usually joins me later. And stays for awhile.

Tomorrow is an HEB Delivery day. Haven't really thought of anything else to add. I will check my cart here after a bit to see if I can think of something to add or may have skipped.

I had a very crazy idea about buying an electric motor cycle but rapidly decided no. And my electric car has been charged back to the 90% level. I do like my electric. Going to be so much more selection in the next couple of years. The bolt is an easy drive and I love the smoothness of the power. No shifting. Plus just plugging in to charge.

Texted with Gary today. Did watch a few documentaries on PBS today. Can't really remember what was my viewing pleasure on Wednesdays. I didn't watch anymore Star Trek today.

Listening to the start of the Chinese Mars mission. Two Mars missions in as many days. Exciting to watch.

Fozzy did join me as a lap cat. Decided to lay down next to me.

Still looking forward to the next podcast.
