We did get a little bit of rain today. Checking my now experienced rain gauge it looks like we got about a 1/16 of an inch. Was hoping for a bit more but will take what I can get. Plus there is a lot more rain in the forecast. So hopefully some time this week we will get more rain. There is a pretty decent chance of rain tomorrow too. So still lots of chances to get rain. Several days yet to come with really decent chances of rain and the temperature has been lower too. Looks like that is going to continue too.
Now to turn our attention to the Gulf of Mexico. Disturbance 1 is moving in this direction and could possibly slowly strengthen. I am guessing that it could be here this weekend. My estimate. I don't have anything really to support that. Most of the spaghetti models are tending to bring it on shore down in South Texas. Since that would put us on the wet side just have far into South Texas can make a big difference for us. Tropical depression seven has also formed and is in a position that usually brings it into the Gulf. And that is just about what all of the spaghetti models show too. Got to watch this one for sure.
Well, gold set another record high for today. A good bit above $1800 an ounce. And now I kind of doubt it is going to drop below that. Just have to see if that is the case. Crude oil made a decent move today and I think set another recent high. Did check a couple of gas stations tonight for price and still about the same. One at $1.77 and the other at $1.78. So not much difference.
Did laundry today but still have to fold and put away. Also did some project work. Just a little working with the stuff I have on hand but still need a part to come in from eBay and it shows like it is going to arriving on Friday. And there should be more fireworks this Friday from the ball park. Can always hear them. Actually have seen them a couple of times.
Got another presidential survey in today. Going to try to fill that out tonight. Today was a nice long text exchange with Gary. I do enjoy those. Paid a bill tonight. Really need to just switch to paperless billing but that is essentially what I am doing. I look at the envelop and then go to their website to see how much I owe and then pay the bill.
Fozzy was tonight's lap cat. He is getting quite good at being a lap cat and do enjoy having him in my lap. Really relaxing. I can just feel my mind being soothed. And I did have incense today. I think it was Lavender and Black Cherry. Or was it Vanilla. Just kind of pick one and don't really remember. Always settles in nicely with the house though.
Nothing really on the launch schedule. Still don't know when the next Falcon 9 launch is but there are a lot of them schedule to go. Something to look forward to.
Going to have a very full plastic and metal recycle bin this week. Still trying to catch up.
It is about time for the Natural History Museum to have another auction. It has been a while since the last one. In all of the others I have found something interesting and worth a bid. Always fun to join in. And they mail the item to you.
Did a load of whites and a load of t-shirts. I have quite the collection of t-shirts.
The lawn service people came today. And in the morning. Usually when they come on Tuesday it is late in the day. They didn't get rained out.
Watched a bit of a PBS special on the early days of space research. Didn't watch any Star Trek though. Seems like I tend to binge watch Star Trek when I do.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
