The rain chance for tomorrow has reappeared and it really looks like a decent chance of rain starting about noon or so plus the temperature is going to cool off too. Might get some long lasting showers too. Never know how these things are going to develop. Gary says these are moving in from Louisiana. And next week looks like it is going to be a wet one too. Hopefully replenish all of the ground water. Starting to look a little bit in need of a drink out here. Does look like the panhandle was spared a round of storms today. Gary said we could get some decent thunder showers. He is my go to weather guy. I saw a temperature of 107°F in my home town yesterday. Don't know if that was the high or not.
Nothing in the way of developing storms or disturbances or much of anything is on the National Hurricane Center's map. Been like that for awhile. Maybe the Saharan dust is keeping things quiet in this area. I can track it now. It looks like this area is still under a blanket of Saharan dust but might get out of it on Saturday but I can see there is much more out of the Ocean. Don't know where it is going but looks like plenty yet to come. I guess partly a good thing because it does reduce the chance of hurricanes.
Paid a bill today. Got the paper notice so I checked on line and paid it. Really should just change as much as possible to paperless billing. Wouldn't have to file all of that at the end of each year. Quite a change from the time I use to write a check and mail it back.
Gold is just barely below $1800 an ounce. Crude fell back just slightly today. It really hasn't been moving much at all and seems to be in a fairly stable price range. I should watch the exchange rates also. Use to track the Dollar against the Pound since I lived there at one point. Their money is so colorful and the bill are all different sizes.
Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. I have enough supplies to make it work. And I am getting a fresh delivery from HEB too. So I still have tonight to add things If I can think of anything that I might still need or want but right now nothing comes to mind.
Today was an eBay day but didn't do any work on projects. Still waiting on some stuff to come in and I need to decide what I am going to do about parts for other projects. Going to modify my solar system just a little bit. Still have that dream of just having a back yard full of solar panels. My system now theoretically can make 600 Watts of power but it is split between two systems. It would be fun to build a decent system.
And the weather was bad for the launch of the H-2A mission so it was moved to the 19th. So possibly two launches on that date. The other is the non Starlink Falcon 9 launch. Would be good to see two go on the same day.
Did watch a very interesting program on NOVA today about detecting new voids in one of the pyramids. Very interesting how it was done and they did find something. Now if they could just explore it. Would be really interesting to see what they could find.
No lap cat today or incense.
Did quite a bit of texting with Gary today. Weather, hydrogen cars, CCS chargers, Roundup, gutters, grass cuttings and pine needles. That about covers it.
Going to check again tonight to see if we get a free premium channel preview for the weekend. Has been awhile since we had one.
