This was another day with no rain. Not quite as hot as the past few days but only by a few degrees. Does look like something that might pass as a cold front coming through here on Friday. The temperature will drop and it looks like a fair chance of rain in the evening. The rain chance for Friday has been up and down all week and it would be very nice if we did get rain so I can report the amount using my new rain gauge that has set there unused for at least the past couple of weeks or so. Not exactly sure when I put it out there. It does look like the panhandle is in for another set of storms tonight. Looks like on radar they are headed that way but don't know if they will hold together.

The National Hurricane Center map hasn't changed in the last several days. Still doesn't show anything of interest forming. These things can pop up in a hurry. I did find a place to monitor the Saharan dust cloud. Looks like there is still a lot of Saharan dust over this area. Watching the future forecast it looks like it might clear out of here on Saturday but still a lot of dust over the Atlantic and coming this way. St least now I have found something to keep track of it.

One thing that hasn't happened in a while is another Houston Museum of Natural Science auction. Seems I can always find an interesting item to bid on and try my luck at winning. I think I am about 2 for 5 or maybe 2 for 4. Not in the least bit sure but I will try again.

In the way of watchable rocket launches it looks like the H-2A is going to try again tomorrow at about a quarter to five pm Eastern Daylight time so something close to 3:45 pm for us. I have a site saved to watch it live so if I can remember I am all set. Got to be prepared for this one to be postponed too. I hope not. Kind of a bright spot to watch one launch. The next Falcon 9 launch is scheduled for July 19th. Not the Star link one. Still waiting on that one to be rescheduled.

Did do some minor and very minor project work. Got some parts in so I did the small amount of work that I could. I checked out side for a part I thought I might have had but didn't so now I have to think of another way or order something from eBay.

Looks like gold stayed above $1800 an ounce all day. Maybe golds new normal. Crude made a nice move today and I am fairly sure that it set a new recent high. Not sure what the old one was but this one does look higher. It did fall back some too but still I think above its old recent high.

Texted with Gary about hydrogen fuel cells for cars. Talked about some research Texaco did on reforming gasoline.

Today was a heavy eBay day. Got several items in and one unexpected that I probably ordered a long time ago that was out of stock and it showed up today.

Twist was a very short duration lap cat today. Just kind of in and out. Fozzy is more of a late night lap cat and he still has time.

Did get in some time to watch Barn Wood Builders tonight. And NOVA was on tonight but it was a rerun.

Kind of quiet outside tonight like most nights seem to be. Occasionally I will hear a gecko.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
