Do I need to say it. No rain today.
Jul. 11th, 2020 10:01 pmAnother day without a hint of rain. And probably nothing until week after next. Going to be dry and hot around for few days. The radar did show what looked like some heavy showers in the pan handle but that is a long way from here. Some closer radar returns but might not really be rain.
The storm that was on the National Hurricane Center's map has just disappeared. Don't know where it went. But it is gone. Nothing else so see on their map.
Forgot to mention that Yesterday was cheese sandwich day and I did have my cheese sandwich. Wheat bread though instead of white. Still good.
Opened up my packaged with project parts and discovered that it uses metric nuts. Which I don't have. So kind of back to the to be done pile until I can get the right metric parts. Close to an English but not close enough. So, I guess I will let eBay take care of me. And it was an eBay day today too.
Not entirely a surprise because after awhile you kind of get to expect it but the Falcon 9 Star Link mission scheduled to lift off today was postpone. Haven't seen anything on the new date yet. So just have to wait until the 14th to see a Falcon 9 launch. That is the next schedules launch.
Thought about some other projects today but really need to do some shop work for them and just much too hot and humid to be out there for more than just a few minutes.
Gold and crude not trading on the weekends so no updates there. I almost did it today and brought a platinum coin but backed off. Just not ready I guess. Was even in the mood to spend money but didn't. It would be my first platinum purchase if I ever do.
Put my car on charge and now have it fully charged. Well, only up to the 90% level. Don't want to charge to 100%. Supposedly better for the battery pack not to charge to 100%.
Going to consolidate all of my generator supplies like oil and stuff. I think now it is scattered over a few places. Don't know if this is going to be another one.
Tomorrow is LOL Cats. Always look forward to that.
Rare day but no text from Gary. I guess he is very busy with his home in Dallas. Going home by a different route. Looks like the superchargers in Waco are still out of service. As he says probably done by extreme right wingers that hate anything possibly associated with leftest. The cost of batteries have dropped a lot. Electric cars are still more expensive up front than gas cars but I would have already had to change oil a couple of times if my car wasn't electric. In fact no oil to change. Plus probably changing the antifreeze. Maybe a belt replacement. Brakes pads. Air filter. None of that on my electric. Really I think someone counted it up and there are only 9 moving parts between the motor and the wheels. And just so nice and easy just to plug it in. With the range it is a very practical car. And really fun to drive. I am pretty sure my next car will be an electric too.
Got my recyclables out last night. Very full bin. Still need to go pick up the bin and fill it now with everything that didn't fit.
The PBS program The History Detectives is only on during the week. So didn't get to watch today. This area needs a drive in movie. Maybe just convert a parking lot. Project the movie on to the side of a building.
Would make for a nice evening. Not sure how to make the sound work. I sure they could do that on a web site or something or maybe FM broadcast. Doesn't look like anything close.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
