Looks like no rain soon

Looking at the forecast it looks like this stretch of no rain is going to extend well into the following week. I guess this summer time pattern of high pressure is here. Going to be dry and warm for at least into next week. At least long about next Wednesday it will be somewhat cooler. The next several days are going to be warm.

Change up the order just a bit tonight. I got my bin of recyclables out to the curb tonight and I had to leave some behind because there was just no way to fit it all in my bin. Didn't need to take out the trash bin tonight. Got that out for the Wednesday pickup. So I will have a decent start on a full bin for next weeks recyclables. Don't recall hearing the cicadas as I took my bin out. Don't think I was really paying much attention anyway. So they might have been out tonight.

Radar shows this state to not have any kind of showers at this late hour. I haven't looked at all today until now so I don't know if there were any of the afternoon heating type of showers. Usually there are at least some about.

Don't think I look at the Galveston cam's today. I might have but I don't remember. Still might take a look later just to see what is going on late night in Galveston.

Looks like tropical storm Fay is over land. Never really a good thing. Nothing else to be seen on the National Hurricane Center's map. Always have to keep checking because storms can pop up quickly.

Crude oil is back up today. Looks like it might have tied its recent high. Can't really find a chart that shows that but I really haven't looked for one either.

Was an eBay day today. And another non-eBay day also. Got some parts in for a project but haven't opened the box yet. But it wasn't an incense day.

No lap cat yet. I suspect Fozzy may join me in a little while.

Gold is now just barely below $1800 an ounce. Has been above that during the day. I still have platinum on the mind but don't know if I will buy a coin or not. Don't think I have anything platinum. For the longest time platinum was more expensive than gold. Always considered it but never bought any. Just the novelty of having platinum.

The Falcon 9 Starlink mission reschedule from I don't really know when is suppose to launch at 10:54 am Eastern Daylight time tomorrow. That would make it 9:54 my time tomorrow. Hopefully no bad weather and we get to see this one launch. That will be follow reasonably closely by another one on July 14th.

Missed The History Detectives today but did manage to watch an interesting PBS program on Annie Oakley. Very interesting person. Wasn't really much on Thursday night for my entertainment pleasure. Really miss my Netflix series like Lucifer.

Thought I had a bill to pay. I got the paper copy today but I guess I paid it when I saw the email version of it. So that is done. Always try to keep up with my bills.

Kind of the news story of the day but I can't find anything on line about it. Gary was driving his Tesla to Dallas yesterday and was going to recharge in Waco. Apparently a vandal of group of vandals knocked down all ten of the supercharging stations for probably dislike of electric cars. Who really know why someone would to that. Anyway, no chance of charging there. The next closest supercharger wasn't actually a sure thing of reaching it before running out of charge. He did manage to make it with only 3% of charge left. Anxiety deluxe I am sure. Also not at all good to discharge your battery that low. Should really never go below 10% if at all possible. But not much choice in this case. The one draw back of electric cars. No charging station on every corner like gas stations.

I thought they made a CCS adapted for the Tesla but evidently not or don't any more. I could not find one. So maybe not available. The J1771 adapters are available. Can get about 25 miles of range in a hour. That would have made Gary's drive a little less uncertain. Just checking and even the level 2 charges are kind of sparse in that area.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
