Don't know but I think like in summers past a dome of high pressure moves in over the area and pretty much shuts down all chance of rain. Suppresses rising air so even heat type showers are rare. I think that is the case. I believe Gary who is really into weather told me something similar. He is my go to guy for all types of weather. Has been really wet so might not have to start watering just right away. Looking at the radar only the rare spot is getting rain and couple might be heavy.
The red thing yesterday on the National Hurricane Center's map is now tropical storm Fay. Looks like it is going to move over land about Friday still as a storm. Nothing else to see on their map.
Looks like crude fell back just a bit from its recent high. Not to terribly much though. I think I saw something about Libyan crude coming back on to the market. Worries again about too much. Gold looks like it is just barely above $1800 an ounce. Was somewhat more above a good part of the day. Still have that random thought in my mind about buying some platinum. Haven't acted on it yet.
I see the IRS deposited my tax check. I owed money this year. So I at least know they got my tax return. Got that out of the way. I was thinking it was the 12th but I think I saw it was the 15th. On time regardless. Hopefully done with taxes for this year.
It was an eBay day today. Maybe tomorrow too.
And tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Have the supplies. Going to see if tonight is another premium channel free preview. Have to wait until midnight for that. I did watch some The History Detectives. Very interesting show on PBS.
No lap cat so far today. Twist is near by but not interested I guess.
Did some small work on a project. Well, shouldn't say work. Just gathered up a few pieces that I need. Still have some for this project on the way in. Just going to play a bit with this.
And like most days past I tool a look at the Galveston cams.

I know the title of the next podcast. Don't really know what it means though.
I don't know if the cicadas are at it again tonight. Can't really hear them inside. But they probably are.
I have my generators now. I can actually pair my inverter generator with another. And get double the power. I guess with the right hardware and timing you could sync two regular generators too. Not sure how as I know if they are not totally in sync the outcome could be very bad. I don't think I would ever try.
The next Falcon 9 launch is July 11th, this Saturday. Hoping for good weather and can watch it launch.
Did house work in the form of cleaning up the kitchen and dishes in the dishwasher. Not a full load yet.
