Sky looked normal but now rain.
Jul. 1st, 2020 10:09 pmCouldn't really say if there was any dust still in the air. The sky didn't look hazy like it has the last few days but I don't have any track of the dust storm to say. Although I can say we didn't get any rain. I did look at the radar and parts did get rain especially out west and looks like it might have been heavy but not here. Just dry. Not much now in terms or rain chance until next Tuesday. Seems like the rain chance of Sunday and Monday and dropped off considerably. Might take awhile to see anything in my new rain gauge.
And there is still nothing showing on the National Hurricane Center's map. Was something earlier in the week but now it is gone.
Had to fix a voltage regulator for one of my projects today. Fortunately I had a replacement. I think maybe eBay to the rescue again. No eBay today though.
Heard some geckos earlier in the evening. All is quiet now.
In the mornings I hear the doves all the time. I think that sound is maybe by doves but actually I never see any so I don't really know. And nothing in the order of fireworks either. Just that one night I heard a few but nothing since. Getting close to the 4th so probably will hear more. Looks to be a dry 4th.
Driving around tonight the one gas price I noticed was $1.82. Drove but other stations but didn't notice the price. Crude is still slightly lower that its recent high. Gold is off a little. High enough now not to really notice.
Did some minor vacuuming today. Just a little. Kind of keeping with my rotation of the house. Worked a little on the kitchen.
Broke out my generator from it hibernation and found supplies for it. Don't really want to use it for anything like the last power outage since it was really short. But more available now. Debating getting one of the newer inverter generators since they can handle sensitive electronics and mine really can't.
Today's lap cat was Twist. Just several brief stays though. No incense today.
Just did a little with my project work. Played with the layout of the light sequencer briefly.
Long text exchange with Gary. Usual stuff.
Still watching Galveston cams.
Watched an interesting program on NOVA. About Australia.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
