I read of some complaints about the dust today but really only went outside for a short period of time. Didn't look dusty or hazy but don't really know. And continuing with the trend we didn't get any rain. As usual part of the area did get rain as shown on the radar. Going to be dry and warm for the 4th. Still looking at rain chances above the normal rain chance next Monday and Tuesday. With my new rain gauge I can report the rain. I know on some occasions in the past with my old rain gauge I couldn't report the amount of rain because it overflowed.

The National Hurricane Center's map has nothing to show. Not really peak hurricane season though. It sure started off very active. Still plenty of time left in this season.

I decided to do my own kind of mini fireworks show. Not much in the way of areal display but just purely sparklers. So all ground level stuff and not to exciting but just fun to do. And using the rest of my igniters. Didn't have many of them left to really do any kind of show and I would never use this kind in a show. So just going to use them up. Of course to be fired remotely.

I did hear a single firework earlier this evening but nothing since then. This close to the 4th it has been very quiet. And I don't think I heard the doves this morning. Can't say for sure that is what they really are though. And no geckos tonight.

I finally did break down and order the new inverter type of generator. Will be nice to have for hurricane season as it can run electronic devices. It was advised not to use the older type of generators for electronics but now everything probably has some kind of sensitive electronics in it. So this just provides a layer of safety. My solar inverters provide a very clean power so they are just about ideal for electronics but my battery power is limited. I could never run an air conditioner on it. Coming all the way from Columbus, Ohio. I guess I could loan out my old generator.

Tomorrow Rocket Labs is going to launch their Electron rocket. The launch has a window beginning at 5:13 pm Eastern Daylight Time which will make it 4:13 pm our time. I do enjoy watching them Launch. Got to remember. Almost missed the last Falcon 9 launch but got there in time.

Both Fozzy and Twist had some lap time today. Not much. Some times it is like that. And no incense today.

Going to be watching for my payday. Doesn't seem to be consistent at all. Some times early and sometimes much later. Just have to keep checking.

Don't know if this is going to be a free premium channel preview. Use to be at least one every week. Has been a while now. I will have to check and see. Still have CBS All Access. Need to watch that more. I've found a new game show called "The Wall". Only seen a couple of shows though. Interesting game show.

Still watching the Galveston cams.

Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. I use American cheese though. Seems like Velveeta is the preferred but I don't really know. Resupplied last HEB delivery so I am in good shape for cheese sandwich day.

Probably have to put together another delivery order again this weekend.

Not an eBay day today. My shopping experience place.

Found an old letter I wrote to my Aunt while I was in England. Brought back a lot of good memories. I loved my time in England.

Going to put out a recycle bin full of plastic and metal for recycle this Saturday. I guess they will pick it up. I think most companies are going to give people Friday off since the 4th falls on a Saturday. Don't really know what my company is doing. Don't follow the holiday schedule any more.

Almost did some project work today. Had good intentions but worked on my mini display instead.

Watched some more History Detectives on PBS. Very interesting show. Seems I learn something every time I watch it.

Crude may have set a new recent high. Don't really know and hard to tell but it was back over $40 a barrel.

No new Houston Museum of Natural Science auction as of late. Ready to try my luck at bidding again.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
