Not as much dust but still no rain.
Jun. 30th, 2020 10:03 pmDidn't look as hazy and dusty as it has the last couple of days. I haven't seen anything that has been tracking the dust cloud so that is just opinion. But we didn't get any rain. Radar does show several areas around that did but it just wasn't our turn. Now it looks like next Monday will be the best chance for something to show up in my new rain gauge. Possibly next Tuesday also.
Everything seems to have disappeared from the National Hurricane Center's map. Don't know where they went but they don't show anything. Maybe it was the Saharan Dust
Power is still on here. Part of the old pole is still there. It had what looked like all the phone and cable lines on it. The new pole looks to be carrying all the power lines. Very odd how the old pole broke. Still amazed at how quickly they fixed it. Did see a few before pictures of it.
Gold is up and crude is off just a little from its say recent high. Driving around I saw gas prices as high as $1.89 and as low as $1.79. I did see a price at $1.85. Probably cheaper up north but I never get up that way. I know of one station that pretty much always has the cheapest gas.
I watched the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket today carrying the GPS III whatever that is. Another successful launch. Really enjoy watching. The next Falcon 9 launch is July 8th. There is going to be another Electron launch on July 3rd.
Twist was today's lap cat. Love the way Twist just curls up in my lap and arms. And no incense today.
Finished my fun project today and got it working. Testing a few different batteries to use with it.
July 12 looks like it is going to get here soon. Just kind of got here. I have already mailed my taxes though and for once I didn't wait until the last minute or second or however that saying goes. Nice to have that done and just one more thing completed.
Did a little bit of layout work on my light sequencer. Need to play with it some more and think about how everything is going to connect. Still need to check and see if I have a board I can at least start on. Don't really want to get out the big power tools.
Haven't heard any fireworks today. Did hear a few yesterday and was really hoping they weren't transformers exploding from reconnecting the power. But they were just fireworks.
Talked to Ashley on text. Just a few from Gary. Now know what a phantom orchid is. Beautiful flower.
Starting to enjoy the History Detectives on PBS. Maybe a new NOVA tonight. Need to check.
No eBay today. Still expecting a few more items.
Haven't watched CBS All Access in a couple of days. Need to catch up on all my Star Trek.
I can hear a gecko outside. Just a few chirps but it was definitely a gecko. I haven't heard one in a while. Going to keep listening for it. No planes in or out tonight. Quiet.
That is going to be it for tonight.
