A day without rain.
Jun. 26th, 2020 10:29 pmSeems like a rare thing but as far as this area I don't think we got any rain at all. Looking at the forecast it looks like a pretty dry week ahead but there is always some chance of the afternoon day time heating type of showers. The next decent chance of rain is next Saturday. We have had a pretty good run of rainy days. The lawn is quite well watered now. Some summers are like that and I never have to water. Actually I think most are like that. We have had some really dry summers though. One summer they even banned the sale of fireworks entirely. One summer I was going to do a show but decided even though they were selling fireworks it was just too dry to risk it.
My shows certainly have changed over the years. The last being completely computer controlled.
The Falcon 9 didn't launch today. Something about more checks but it seems like it at least made it until today before being scrubbed. My last check of a new date doesn't show anything so I don't know when this one will launch. There is another one that is suppose to launch on June 30th. So far it is still set to go on that date. Don't really know if they can launch two on the same day. I think they have two drone ships so maybe they can.
I forgot to mention last night that today was cheese sandwich day. A tradition from a long time ago. Good thing I have another HEB scheduled. Might be slim picking next cheese sandwich day otherwise.
No incense today. And that other daily item no lap cat today.
Fixed a fence picket today. Not really sure why it came down but it only had one nail in it. Don't remember exactly why. I robbed three nails from my nail gun coil and put it back in place. Should stay this time.
Did a load of t-shirts today. In the dryer at the moment. Probably not dry and I need to run it awhile longer.
Paid a couple of bills today. One by check that I always do and mailed it and the other on line.
Early voting for the run off election starts on Monday. I have already mailed my ballot.
More eBay items delivered today. Almost normal here now. Not sure if I mentioned it yesterday but I think I did but anyway I ordered a new rain gauge. Probably mount it the same place I did the last one. Somewhere there must be an electronic rain gauge. Probably just as easy to read it. Well, yes there are electronic rain gauges. I think I will just read mine.
Nothing really in the way of project work today. I did do some vacuuming. Just seem to rotate that through the house.
Not really enough paper or plastic to put out my recycle bin. Probably can make it until next Friday.
No free premium channel preview this weekend. Has been awhile. Maybe next week.
Still catching a little bit of the Galveston cams.

Lots of cloudy days. Solar system still working well.
Did start and drive the truck some. Just a few times around the block. Don't really want to go far. Need to drive it every now and then just to keep everything moving.
For a quick check of the tropics and the other places storms form there is nothing to be seen on the National Hurricane Center map. Don't really know what is happening with the dust cloud from the Sahara. Was suppose to get here yesterday. Rained though. So I don't know how that worked.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
