Too many nice days with no rain.
Nov. 23rd, 2021 10:15 pmJust another really nice day like the ones we have been having for awhile now. And like the past few days no rain. Looks like that is going to change though this Thursday. A really high chance of rain but down somewhat from the 98% it was showing. Rain according to the forecast should begin about 3:00 am and pretty much last all day and turn a good bit colder for several days. Did do some work in the shop and finally had to take off my warm up shirt. Was getting just a bit too war but was fine with just my t-shirt on. Right now my outside temperature gauge says it is 60°F with 71% humidity. Officially at the airport it is 58°F with 80% humidity.
Didn't do any housework today at all. Not even kitchen duty. Was pretty much still clean from last night.
Did drill the holes for a new light chaser project. Going to be in the shape of a star. Upside down though.
For wood working I started building the top to the display cabinet for my china cabinet. Finally decided how I was going to build it had not use more of my oak stash than I had to. So now going to be mostly scrap and left over pieces of Oak plywood. On top so no one should ever notice and will be really light too. Didn't want to use my good oak for something that is never seen. Should be a good compromise. Should still look good. Finished all the pins from the dust frame to the face frame last night.
Just about 100 minutes away from the start of the live stream of a Falcon 9 launch. Won't be anything watchable for about another week or so.
Twist was a multiple lap cat today. Just about anywhere I sit now he will get in my lap. Except for the office for the most part. Fozzy has been missing in action for that. Twist did snuggle with me this morning until Fozzy wanted the same. Twist did snuggle during my nap.
Don't remember this mornings incense. Lite a new one every day but never seem to remember unless it is Dragon's Blood.
My oil lamp night light is lit. No candle though.
Got three junk calls today. Or was that yesterday. Seem to blend together anymore.
I did get my car in for inspection. Always glad to get that over and done with. Only had to wait about 50 minutes or so. Was told it might be an hour and half. Done for another year. Applied on line for the registration. Be hear in about a week. Not really going anywhere to worry about it. Did notice on the parking lot that they didn't have any new cars for sale at all. Plenty of trucks of all types but not a single car. According to google it is a chip shortage. No cars really for sale anywhere. Don't know when my new car is going to come in now. Might be awhile. Looks like I am going to extend my lease for some time to go.
Changed back to Sex Education tonight but stayed with Cowboy bebop for viewing pleasure. And YouTube videos.
Gold feel into the upper part of $1700 an ounce. Crude is holding at it present retreated price. Doesn't seem to be moving much.
Glad to have a full freezer section. Had half of my slice of Red Velvet cake for dessert tonight after dinner. Skipped the usual pop tart.
Sorted the shop after dinner so that is done. Still have to put up the car.
Today was decent day. Didn't feel really motivated to do a lot so I took a nap. Felt a little more energetic afterwards and did do some work in the shop but really not just a lot. Might put in more work tomorrow since I am not getting an HEB delivery or getting a car inspected. Did feel the creeping hopelessness tonight. Can't seem to avoid it entirely. Still wish I would get a good dream every now and then instead of the same bad dreams every night.
Got a notice that my Oak supply from Bell Forrest will be here Friday. Not expecting anything tomorrow. Did order some more wood filler from eBay. Still have some but can't seem to squeeze it out of the tube. Tired of fighting it so time to get more.
Going to stay up and watch the launch.
Feeling like I want to go to bed and just sleep for awhile and let another one pass.
I think I am about read to test my CNC machine. Think I have the basics figured out. Want to use it to cut a mortise pocket that I don't have the right size bit for. Need to figure out how to make it drill holes.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
