Ended the semi-drought with rain today.
Apr. 30th, 2021 10:40 pmGot a nice heavy rain early this morning. A check of my rain gauge shows a total of about two and six tenths of an inch. I think more than we have gotten up to this point all year long. Rain stopped about mid morning and about all we got after that was some occasional very light rain. Looking at the radar though it looks like something massive is slowly moving this way. Might be in for some really heavy rain in just a few more hours. Forecast says rain starting about 3:00 am. If it hits here like it looks on radar I am sure I will wake up. My outside temperature gauge says it is 70°F with 94% humidity. At the airport the temperature is 71°F with 91% humidity. Going to be a very nice day as far as the temperature goes even though it looks like it might rain all day. Suppose to warm up on Sunday and stay warm after that. Looks like I still might have a few day of decent shop weather and some with tolerable shop weather. I should hopefully be just about done with my project tomorrow. Still have a good bit left to do though.
A completely non eBay day. Didn't get anything in nor did I order anything. Probably need to resupply on my supplement soon though. I did get my poplar in from Home Depot today. Outside of my Gold Back order I am completely caught up. No more orders outstanding other than that one. If it comes in on Monday or Saturday I will have one of those rare times where I have nothing on order. Don't think I have had one of those in quite a while. Still thinking about ordering me a ultra short throw laser projector. Going all the way if I do and get a 4K model. Will wait a bit more.
Got at least one junk call today and one annoying call. Might have gotten two junk calls as one call disconnected after four rings which usually means it is a junk call.
Also forgot to mention last night being thursday that I needed to check to see if it was a premium channel free preview weekend. I will do that tonight if I can remember before going to bed.
Nothing at all in the way of project work today. Today or tomorrow is recharge day. Should do that tomorrow.
For housework did the usual kitchen work and I also vacuumed the halls. Were starting to get covered in sawdust and cat hair. Minor.
And for workwooking. Worked some more on my mirror frame. Still need to get the glass grove finished and to do some fine tuning on the lap joints to get everything to fit. Worked on the drawers. Made progress on the final two and just about finished two others. Only minor work left on them. Just took a break to sort the shop out a little more and did just a bit more work on one of the drawer. Just that much less to do tomorrow. Still have an item or two to put up before I can put the car up. Should go out for a drive tonight since I haven't done that in a few nights.
Tired tonight. With the storm didn't get much sleep last night but did take a short nap today.
Gold in holding in the third quarter of $1700 an ounce. Really down from its high. Wonder if it will go lower still. Has a long way to go down yet to get back to where it was. Crude is about where it was yesterday. Not much movement.
I had my cheese sandwich today. Whole wheat bread.
Viewing pleasure today was YouTube Videos. The test of Starship #15 was scrubbed.

Haven't heard anything from Ling in a while.
Next international Gem and Jewelry show is in June. Kind of iffy if I will go. Still don't really feel comfortable in places like that just yet.
Still looking at May 4th for the next watchable launch.
No bills paid today. Twist was a short term lap cat. Really settled in but I had to get up.
Going to put my recycle bin out tomorrow. Ben doing that just about every week now. Would do it tonight but don't want to open the front door. Mosquitos seem to be out in force and I am sure I would let a few in.
Getting late. Guess I should finish sorting the shop and put the car up. Can't really tell by looking at the radar but it might have already started raining. Will know when I go out to put up the car.
