I think I felt a few drops of rain as I was outside working today. Might have just been spray from my next door neighbor who was watering his plants. Don't think at the time though he was watering. So I am not sure if we got just a few drops of rain or not. Don't really see any exceptional rain chances come up. Some above normal but still not really high. It is going to turn rather warm for about the next three days or so and then cool back off a bit but I think mostly days in the high 70s are over. Right now my outside temperature gauge shows to be 67°F with 82% humidity. Officially it is 67°F with 84% humidity. Shows to be 80°F in my office. Don't think I will light my Aladdin tonight.
Paid my credit card bill. Expensive with insurance and other items charged to it. Didn't get paid today. Never are consistent. It just gets here when it does.
Just got my receipt from the state of Texas showing that indeed my registration for my truck has been paid and I am just waiting on my inspection and registration sticker to be sent to me. So all except for my Z are now legal to drive. And the Z has to be towed in for service so I won't worry about it for awhile. I did the truck start, run and drive yesterday. I think I forgot to mention that.
Not a single junk call today. I got one from AT&T asking about rescheduling my new internet service that I at first thought was a junk call.
Got the fiber optical cable from outside down to where my existing modem is. Finally decided to take it through the closest place I could to the attic stairs instead of going halfway across the house to install the cable. Drilled a hole, push the cable in and got in the attic. Didn't have to crawl over to get it at all. The platform that I install many years ago to help with changing out hot water heaters turned out to be perfect. I just went out on that and reached out and snagged the cable. No problem at all. Connected to my pull cord, went outside to push more cable into the attic. Back in the house and pulled it down to the existing modem. Done. Not nearly as bad as it would have been having to pick my way across half the house to get the cable. Now AT&T has to connect their cable to my entry. Don't know where they have to come from but I thought it would be much easier for them than for me to risk the attic work. Got to call and reschedule now. They can use Fiber to node or Fiber all the way now. Set up either way. They have 400 feet of cable outside to reach the tie-in point. Should minimize the time they have to spend in my house. Gone to make me anxious regardless. The cats shouldn't freak out from the noise of them installing it now since that is done.
Was another complete eBay day. I ordered a new power strip for my projects bench with plenty of plugs. And space to my power supplies won't crowd out other outlets. Looks to be pretty good quality. I got my brass rods in but two of them were lost in the mail. Ordered four but really only need one. Not going to worry about it. Tried to thread one and couldn't get it to go straight so I am going to postpone that project for a while. I got my trash bags in today. Actually came from Home Depot. Couldn't find them on their website so I ordered them from eBay but they came from Home Depot just the same.
No housework today other than vacuuming the hall after opening the attic stairs. Always do that.
For project work I rewired a light tower to include a buss bar and a new volt meter so I can monitor the charge. Started to charge it but might draw my primary battery pack down too much since the sun is down. Took a good bit of time. Had to solder a lot of connectors. Need to rearrange it just a bit still.
For woodworking I screwed up my corner post. Cut the grove on the wrong side so I have to make new ones. Can't recover from that on the old ones. So I cut two more and will catch up tomorrow. I did some more work on the dust frames and got started on the second one. Slow process but I think once the dust frame are done work with pick up a bit. The drawer always take a lot of time. There is still a lot of work to do on it.
Something went wrong on Google Hangouts. I can only text one person. Checked and they seem to be having problems. Also an email bounce back to my bank. Don't know what is happening there. Got to see if it corrects itself. Really didn't need anything else to go wrong today.
Started working on a new HEB Delivery order last night. Got a few items in.
Nothing but YouTube Videos for Viewing pleasure.
No lap cat tonight. Both cats do seem to love my new chair. So I just declared it as theirs. Honestly, not quite what I wanted for my computer chair so I will continue to look.
Nothing on my wood from Lowes. Don't know when that will come.
For gold and crude today gold is still hanging out in the lower portion of $1700 an ounce. Crude backed away more from its 52 week high. Slowly moving back into old territory.
Still looking at the 7th for the next Falcon 9 Star Link Mission.
Frustrated tonight from all that went wrong. Guess these days can't be avoided. At least I can feel a little better about driving my truck outside of the neighborhood now. Might even do some curbside pickup at Home Depot now to get items that are going to be too expensive to ship.
Got the shop mostly put up. Still have to put the step ladder in place and put up the folding work bench. Might go out for a drive tonight.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
