January 19 was a rain free day.
Jan. 19th, 2021 10:33 pmAbout a week ago today had a healthy chance of rain but it is weather and no rain at all today. Nothing looking above average for tomorrow but it looks like the rain chances begin to increase on Thursday continuing on through Monday. Probably take the tent down tomorrow. Haven't been out there since I put it up. Hasn't really been warm enough but it looks like starting tomorrow we are going to have some nice night time temperatures. A little on the cool side maybe but not at all cold. Looking at the day time highs we are going to be in the 70's and upper 60's for the rest of the month. Should be some just good shop weather. Still odd but pleasant to have this kind of weather in January. We will see what the rest of the winter brings.
Nothing in the way of an eBay day today although I haven't checked my mail yet. I will do that when I go out to put my car up. Got the shop already sorted and ready for the car. Just have to put it up. A rather nice night. My outdoor temperature gauge shows it to be about 59°F. Officially 60°F. Close enough. One day I wish I could have a shop that I could be out there working this late at night but here I don't want to disturb my neighbors with the noise this late at night. Trying to keep it just during the daytime and when most people are at work. Didn't order anything today. Doesn't look like I am going to get anything in tomorrow.
Didn't do any project work but I have an idea for another small project for my small battery packs. Don't even need the voltage regulators that I ordered. The USB power supply can handle the higher voltage and just convert it down to the 5 something volts that a USB uses. Need to set up a volt meter though so I don't discharge my batteries too much but the battery management system should take care of that.
Did so some house work today. Scrubbed just a little on my shower. Slowly getting it to look nice. I also vacuumed my office and cleaning one of the counter tops in the bathroom. Put the dishes away too and put some more used ones in. And finished putting all of the hard items back into the blanket chest. Still need to organize that guest bedroom a little better though. Not going to put out a trash bin tonight as I don't have anywhere near enough to justify a load. Probably won't on Friday either. I will have a recycle bin full of paper to go out though.
Tomorrow is the scheduled HEB Delivery day. Could probably go a few more days with no problem. I did add a couple of items to my order and might add a couple more tonight. Just got to think if there is anything else that I need or want.
I got my new Dietz lamp lit in my office. A really nice lamp and works well. Even with just a half inch wick it puts out a lot of light and heat. Not as much as my standby lamp though. Neat lamp and a gift for myself. I didn't have one but now I might decide I need another one. I still have the new Maxbright Aladdin coming in. Don't know when it will get here though.
Tonight I just continued with more episodes of the flash and a few YouTube videos. To night was the curse of Oak Island. Got to watch that.
Did almost all that I had planned to do in the shop today. Got the face frame finished and got two of the raised panels finish. Need to back cut one just a bit more to get it to fit though. My one small panel had problems so I am going to have to redo it and also make a second one. Nice to get the face frame done. I also sanded the top. Needs another two grades of sanding but it is a start. Tomorrow I need to build the drawer supports and guides. Finish the small panels. That is the plan. I also decided I need to build another shelf for my book case now nick knack display case. One more shelf will easily fit but I don't have the material. Might just order what I need as I can get it delivered for free is my order is over $45. I think I can do that. Well, had to pay a delivery fee but just decided I needed it and ordered it. Could have picked it up at the store but just as soon have it delivered. So I have what I need now to finish my projects.
Gold is just about midway now in $1800 an ounce. Crude moved up again but not past its recent high. Pretty sure of that. Soon it will collide with its 52 week high since that value is dropping.
Fozzy is the lap cat occupant tonight.
No bills paid today. And I got four junk calls today. Maybe five. Answered one and no one was there. Two of them my answering machine took.
Rocket labs is scheduled to launch tonight or rather very early tomorrow morning starting at 12:45 an our time. Think I will stay up to watch. It hasn't been scrubbed yet. Tomorrow at about 7:00 am our time a Falcon 9 is scheduled to launch. Might be awake at that time to watch. No special effort.
Still need to listen to Ashley's latest pod cast. Started last night but decided I was just too tired and went to sleep.
Going to take another look at my HEB order and decide if anything is missing. Did decide to add something. Anything else that I need I really need to decide tonight. Going to be up a bit more. Maybe I will thing os something else.
