A decent rain today.

Got a really decent rain today and it was heavy at times. I checked my rain gauge before all the rain had stopped and we had 1 and 9 tenths of an inch. I haven't been back out to check it yet. We did get more after I checked it the first time. Cold outside at the moment so I will check it tomorrow. Tomorrow is not suppose to warm up much though. I guess I will brave the temperature to check it tomorrow. Something blew in about 3:00 pm today and it really got windy. Still really windy outside. I can hear it out in the shop. Not so much in the office though. Maybe more rain on Tuesday and it is going to stay fairly cool until Thursday or Friday. Looks like it is going to stay moderate for a few weeks. Overall it looks like December is going to be a fairly moderate month. Winter starts on December 21st so that is only about a week away. And tomorrow is going to be the 14th. Days. My outside temperature gauge say about 43°F with 93% humidity. May not be foggy.

This weekend was an premium channel free preview weekend but was only a few channels. I finally managed to check this afternoon. But it was a free weekend although I just scanned through and didn't really watch anything.

Watch the launch of a Falcon 9 launch today. Always perfect for them. Always looks so easy. Even stuck the landing. Looks like a few more launches this month including two tomorrow and the launch of the Electron rocket on the 15th. Always try to watch them. Otherwise my viewing pleasure today was just YouTube videos.

Got busy and did a good bit today. For house work I vacuumed some and sorted out my project table for the most part. Didn't quite get it all sorted but it does look quite a bit better. For wood working I finished sanding my top and got one side of it stained. Decided not to edge the one oak plank I have planned. Might try to do that tomorrow. And will hopefully finish staining my blanket chest top. Have to wait until Tuesday to start the finish. Got to get a tool in before I can do any more work on the skirt but that is the only thing I really lack and can work on. Don't have the material to finish the bottom but can use something just temporary.

Got my Christmas stocking up today and put Twist and Fozzy's name on one of them. Kind of my minimal decoration for Christmas. You know next year just for my cats to destroy I think I am going to put up a tree.

Nothing really in the way of project work outside of just some organizing of my project table. I reconnected my Raspberry Pi 4 computer and got it updated. Really need it to work on my light sequencer. Don't think I will try to do any shop work tomorrow. Looks like it is going to be too cold to be out there.

No tent today. Much too cold and raining too. So no night sounds. Plenty of wind sounds tonight though.

Already got the car put up. Didn't get much out today to sort.

Gold is trading in the lower third of $1800 an ounce. Crude looks like it has edged up just a bit more. Soon to be or maybe already is at a new recent high. As noted last night the price of gas has gone up.

Got my oil lamp night light lit. And a candle. Poured a candle today and got it demolded. Got my soap out of the "oven". Looks like it turned out fine. Cut it up into bars and put away to age for three weeks. Think I got plenty left to let this age completely.

Had to change out the light bulbs in my garage door opener. Has two in it and the second one burned out tonight. Easy job to replace. Two good bulbs in it now.

Thinking about my next project. I think I am going to use the rough cut lumber I have had around forever. Time to plane it and put it to use. Now easy enough to order finished wood on line at a decent price.

Being Sunday so it is not a typical eBay day. I did order a couple more items tonight so I am building quite a back log of things to be delivered. Looking at the tracking and a little bit of additional guess work I might get a bunch of items in tomorrow. Might be a big eBay day.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
