A pretty much normal rain free day for November

So, no rain today just as was forecast. November has been so dry so far. I do see some elevated rain chances in the forecast for the rest of the two weeks. But the rain chances are always changing. And cold outside tonight and it looks like we are finally in for some mild Autumn weather. Going to be cold at nights and I don't think we are going to need the air conditioner except for maybe one or two days. It really depends on how much the house warms up from the sunny days. I tried to spent some time in the tent tonight but my blankets were just no match for the temperature so I didn't last very long outside tonight. My outside temperature gauge says it it 54°F. Can't seem to get to the spaghetti models tonight but at least on the National Hurricane Center's map it doesn't look like Iota is going to make it into the Pacific as anything more than just a depression. Was a very major storm at land fall. Now just a minimal tropical storm. Less than two weeks left in the official hurricane season so maybe that is the last one.

The lawn company didn't come today either so I guess they are now into the every other week schedule. Doesn't really look like it needs it. A combination of no rain and cold night time temperatures have just about stopped it from growing. They have occasionally come on Wednesday but that is more because of bad weather than anything else.

No eBay day today but did get a ton of Medicare material. Nothing from outside companies either. This is the annual window to sign up or to change your plan. I remember when I first signed up. Must have gotten multiple phone calls a day about signing up for various plans. I do like my current plan so I don't anticipate changing.

Today is the 17th. Seems like November just started and now it is more than half over. I guess thanks giving is just 10 days away now.

I have my Aladdin lamp lit in my office tonight and it has really warmed up my office. I think having the mantle on it really makes a difference in heat output.

Since I was out in the tent for a little while I did hear the bass of some loud music. Didn't hear it for long so I just assume it was someone driving by.

Gold stayed close to $1900 an ounce today at least the little bit of the chart I can see. It looks like crude moved up just a bit more. Doesn't really seem to have much direction. Haven't checked gas prices in a couple of days. I guess they are still about the same.

Tired tonight which seems about normal. Did just a bit of house work. I put some dishes in the dishwasher and did just a bit of straightening up of my project table. But no project work. Didn't do any wood work today although I did back the car out of the garage.

Did the truck start, run and drive today since I missed yesterday. Got to keep it moving a little to keep everything in good shape and to make sure the gasoline doesn't get old.

Might be an Electron Rocket launch as early as 7:44 pm our time tomorrow. Got to try to remember tomorrow to watch.

I wish the Natural Science Museum would have another auction. Kind of enjoy those and actually get some unique items.

Tonight's viewing pleasure was more episodes of Netflix The Flash along with multiple YouTube videos. Just about standard. Still have a long wall to go in The Flash series.

Fozzy was a short term lap cat tonight. Started just about dinner time. I hate to disrupt his naps.

Twist hasn't been a lap cat in awhile but loves to snuggle with me when I sleep.

Got a bill to pay with a check. Might have to do that tomorrow but it isn't really due for awhile.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
