Nov. 12th, 2020

The same old story and getting older by the day. Not a drop of rain. So this is the 12th of November and starting off to be a really dry month although the forecast does call for an elevated chance of rain on Sunday. Looks like that is going to be associated with a drop in temperature. I guess a front of some kind is going to come through to increase the rain chance. Still some warm days ahead. Don't know if my air conditioner came on today or not. For most of the afternoon I was out in my shop. Tonight it is really humid. My home gauge says it is 99% humidity right now. You can really feel it outside and kind of smell the humidity in the air. Probably going to have a major dew fall tonight. Spent some time in my tent. Always amazed that the time always seem to pass so quickly out there even thought I am really not doing anything.

Going to have to take a break from my entry and put the shop up so I can put up my car. Got a good bit done tonight on my blanket chest. Got all of my joinery work done. Went a lot smoother and easier than I expected. Next big item is to make my raised panels. Got to take off a lot of wood so going to make a lot of saw dust. Probably getting everything covered with a fresh layer out there.

Can't say I heard anything outside of the normal sounds of the night except for some odd clicking sound that only lasted for a few minutes. Still hear the air conditioners starting and stopping. Not sure if I heard mine or not.

Was a surprise eBay day today. I got an order in that I only ordered last night. Was a big surprise that it came that quick. Still have one more eBay item which I think will come in tomorrow. At least that is what it shows on the tracking. Still have one more item left and after that I will have cleared all of my outstanding items. It is a couple of project items I am waiting on.

Fozzy was a lap cat for a little while. Just didn't seem to settle down. I guess my writing in here disturbed him. So no incense today.

Eta has now passed over Florida and is heading out to the Atlantic. One more disturbance in the gulf. Spaghetti models show it moving about due west. And crossing over to the pacific. Should probably become another named storm soon. I think if it does it will break the record for the number of named storms in a season.

Got the shop put away and got my car inside and on charge. The heater draws a lot of power. Still a very practical car. I think when I get ready to buy another electric and I do think I will buy this time there is going to be plenty to chose from. Enough to make it a hard decision. I do like my electric but going to see what else is available.

Gold is trading close to $1900 an ounce. Crude fell back somewhat from yesterday. Seems to be on a bit more of a swing in price lately. Checked my gas stations tonight and the prices are still the same.

A launch scheduled for tomorrow. An Atlas 5 shortly after 4:00 pm our time. Lots of launches coming up including a manned launch. The crew dragon on a Falcon 9 will launch this Saturday. Ought to be a big deal. Four astronauts on board.

No housework today. I have been using all of that time to work on my blanket chest out in the shop. Probably have to pause tomorrow on that and at least clean up my kitchen. Amazing how fast I go through dishes. No project work today either. Kind of want to finish my blanket chest. Then move on to making my light sequencer box

Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Going to try to uphold the tradition. Probably release my HEB delivery order tomorrow and schedule it for Monday. Been about two weeks since my last delivery.

Tonight being Thursday I will have to check to see if this is going to be a premium channel free preview weekend. Haven't had a lot of those lately. Viewing pleasure for today was more NetFlix episodes of The Flash and of course the assortment of YouTube Videos.

Got a bill in today that I need to write a check and mail back. One of the rare ones that I do get outside of a few regular ones.

Still haven't seem them run the fiber optics through my back yard yet. The lawn company kind of mowed over their yellow and white stripes but for the most part they can still be seen. Want to convert to fiber as soon as it is available. Don't know if there is going to be any cost difference. I see the work trucks all over the neighborhood.

Text with Gary.

Might get some fog as the humidity right now shows to be 99%.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
