A repeat of the last few days, no rain.
Nov. 5th, 2020 10:52 pmAlmost too much to hope for lately and that is actually getting some rain. October was a pretty dry month and it looks like November is going to be a repeat of that. The forecast only shows one day with an elevated chance of rain in the next two weeks. And the weather is always subject to change. This high pressure that has settle over us is keeping us dry and a bit on the warm side for this time of year. Was a warm one today but the house didn't reach the set point of the air conditioner. I guess the colder night time temperature are keeping the house from warming too much during the day. Still looking at some days in the low 80's though so still might have to turn on the air conditioner. Right now I am using the fired heater to keep the house warm.
My back yard is now painting with long yellow stripes. And some white ones too. It is actually the call before you dig service locating all of the buried utilities that run along their easement that runs along the back of each lot. I found out today by someone asking if they could have access to my back yard that AT&T is going to run fiber optics. And by all means do that and hook me up. Right now I am limited to 12 megabit speed but with fiber optics I can get much higher speeds. Don't know how much higher but substantially higher. Not that the 12 megabit is a slow speed and things like Netflix runs in high definition with no problem. Even better quality and definition than my U-verse TV. Don't know when they are actually going to run it through my back yard though. Or when I can get the fiber optic service.
Surprisingly no really lap cat time today. Twist made a brief occupation but really didn't stay long enough to be counted as a lap cat. No incense today either.
Spent time in the tent tonight. Nothing unusual in the sounds of the night except I did hear the base from probably a party somewhere. Still about the same as every night. Two planes tonight.
Got three junk calls today. I think about the same yesterday.
Watched the launch of a Falcon 9 today to deliver a GPS satellite to orbit. Absolutely flawless launch. Always enjoy seeing them live and I actually watch a replay too. They make it look so easy. So dependable. Next launch I can probably watch is on the 6th which is an Atlas rocket.
Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day which also means that there might be an free premium channel weekend also. I will check before going to bed.
No real project work today. I did do just a bit of housework in that I straighten up my office and got a few papers put up. Went through some of my mail and sorted it to recycle and my file.
Got a paper bill today but I see that I have already paid it from their email notification. So I went ahead and switched that to paperless billing. I don't think I have much left now that will send me a paper bill.
No eBay day today. Didn't place any new orders either. For eBay or outside companies.
I did make some more candles today and used up the last of my soy wax. Just barely had enough left to make four candle and use the last of my candle scents too.
Need to put out my trash bin tomorrow. I think I can make one more week on my recycle bin.
Texted Gary.
Installed a mantle on my second Aladdin lamp. I think they put out more heat and use less fuel with a mantle in place. But a bit more expensive and very fragile. So have to be very careful handling and attentive to lighting them. I can run the lamps without them though. Just seems like they do produce more heat with the mantles in place. Don't know that for a fact though.
Tonight's viewing pleasure was more of The Flash and of course YouTube videos. I still have CBS all access and should watch more of the Star Trek series.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
