Just another rain free day.
Oct. 26th, 2020 10:31 pmI shouldn't say just another rain free day. It was day. And no rain happened to fall today. The forecast did call for rain but that is the way weather goes. Can't be 100% accurate. Looking at the forecast there is a decent chance of rain tomorrow and a really good chance of rain on Wednesday. The lawn company didn't come today so I waited until late to put the tent up but it was really too warm to spend much time in it and Tonight it was already too cold to be out. With rain forecast and the possibility that the lawn company might show up first thing tomorrow I decided not to leave it up and take it down and pack it in. Suppose to be water resistance but I really don't want to test that. Not sure when I can put it back up. Temperatures look like fall has finally arrive and and going to be actually cold some nights. Might be time finally to switch to heat on the fired heater.
I got an additional 5 gallons of kerosene delivered today in anticipation of just spend some time in my office and using my Aladdin lamps for heat and not heat the entire house. I still probably have more than a gallon or so of kerosene. I don't remember using more than 5 gallons in a season.
I will talk about Zeta tonight in the gulf. The last model out by the National Hurricane Center was at 10:00 pm. The track of Zeta does take it away from us. The models are in fairly good agreement and tightly clustered. With essentially just two and some part of a day out they models at this point a generally pretty accurate. It might shift a little either east or west but the models are generally good. Might get some high wind on Wednesday. Not really any more than the last time a storm passed close so shouldn't be a problem.
Not an eBay day today. Delivery or order. Nothing from outside companies either.
No incense or lap cats tonight. I did a bit of house work in that I put up the dishes. Still need to fold and put away laundry. Got more vacuum bags so I need to do some more vacuuming. Meant to do some project work and did gather some material but didn't do anything. Going to work on my battery pack. I did get out all the pieces I had previously cut for my blanket chest. Need to work on that and tomorrow might be warm enough in the shop to actually do some work. Possibly several days this week. It will be a nice distraction to finally be in the shop again.
Gold is just a little above $1900 an ounce and crude has fallen back more. Don't know if it is a gas war but it does look like it but one station has dropped their price to $1.69 a gallon for a drop of about 6 cents in a week or so. Don't really know if it is crude price or not but really does look like a gas war.
Didn't see either of the two foreign launches. Next launch up is the 28 and is an Electron.
And just like that tomorrow is going to be the 27th of October. Halloween is on Saturday and will mark the end of October and then November will start. Going to be a full moon on Halloween.
No sounds of the night tonight. Was too cold to spend any time out in my tent and really wanted to take it down before it got too cold. I guess I could have taken a blanket with me but just decided to take it down.
Did the truck start, run and drive today. Pretty much did my standard loop.
Still have my HEB Delivery order open and adding a few items at a time. Added a few more tonight and might add a few more as I think about them.
Going to get my annual flu shot this week. Get that taken care of.
And I think that is going to do it for tonight.
