The normal now seems to be no rain.
Oct. 2nd, 2020 10:47 pmNothing to report in the way of rain or potential rain chances. Looks pretty dismal as far as the forecast for any rain in the next couple of weeks. The temperature though looks like they have just about returned to average. Still a bit warm during the day but cooling off nicely at night. Noticed that this morning the house temperature was a full 5 degrees below the air conditioner set point. I think high pressure has set in over the whole of the southern US.
Tropical storm Gamma has formed in the Gulf. The spaghetti Models show that it is probably going to turn to the southwest eventually and go into Mexico as a tropical storm. The National Hurricane Center has run out of names so they have started on the Greek letters. Been just an extraordinarily active season. Still has the month of October and November yet to go.
Gold moved above $1900 an ounce today and stayed there for most of the day. It looks like crude took a hit today and fell back a good bit. Watching the gas prices but nothing has changed. Gas prices do very a lot across the area.
Not an eBay day today or any other company day. I have a few things on the way and one of them might actually get here tomorrow. My main order of the battery modules don't look like they have shipped yet. Heavy things. Expensive to ship. But just more toys for me to play with. Will have some serious work to do as far as setting them up when they do arrive. Really don't have a place for them and mostly just ordered them because they were "on sale" and a very good deal and I would figure out all the details about where to put them later. And I have to replace the battery maintenance system on all four of them. And get a charge controller that works with them and my solar panels. I don't think my current 24 volt charge controller will work with my new 24 volt battery packs.
Didn't make today a cheese sandwich day. Almost forgot it was Friday but remembered finally after I had pretty much settled on something else to eat. Might try to make tomorrow a cheese sandwich day instead.
I probably should put out my recyclables tomorrow too. They generally come late so I should have time to do that tomorrow.
Got started on my Next HEB order. Just going to add items to my cart little by little and not make just a single time to do all of my shopping. The cart saves or at least I think it does and I can continue to add items until I finally set a delivery time. Like tonight. I added one more item. Probably release it Sunday or Monday.
Forgot to mention yesterday that I was hoping this might be one of the rare premium channel free preview weekends. Well, this weekend we did. I think it is Show Time and Epix. Remembered to check this morning and saw that it was all turned on. Going to check before I go to bed and see if anything good is on.
Almost watch the live launch of the Antares rocket today. Was laying down and missed the live launch so I watched it on replay. Still fun to watch. A Falcon 9 was also scheduled to launch tonight. Got all the way down to T-2 seconds in the countdown and it was aborted. Didn't hear the reason. So that makes it I for five tries at launching. There is a chance the Falcon 9 may reset in time and launch about the same time tomorrow. Then there is another Falcon 9 Star Link Mission set to launch on the 5th. Time is set before I get up so I will probably just have to catch that one on replay.
I watched more of Space Force tonight. And then more of the YouTube channels. This Sunday is at least one episode of The Walking Dead.
No house work today. Finished my battery recharge on one fun project. Still have one to go. Did start to do some work in the shop and I did manage to gather a few pieces of wood for it but not much more. Did do some sweeping though. Worked on the alignment of my lathe some. Going to be a bit of attention to get it properly aligned. Just have to be patient with it and make small adjustments.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
